Description
Kind of wanted to do another thing than Postquam Terrae as I'm currently writting it as a novel (in french thought). So I made this, inspired by an old stabble I come accross when walking in the countryside ^^
The character is a new OC unrelated to the other univers I'm currently working on. Just thinking a blind elf would be a fun character to play in roleplay... Maybe...

What brought my attention to this image immediately was the coloring. The smudges here and there, and the subtle shading remind me of copic-markers. The turquoise contrasting against the bright colors of the girl and fox (or is that a squirrel?) also gives the pic a "friendly" energy, despite the decrepit building behind them. Speaking of the background, I love how everything has it's own texture, from the trees, to the building. I think the grassy patches could use a few more blades of grass for more detail, but on its own, it still looks good. I also like the irregular line-work in some areas. Usually wonky lines can make an image look messy, but here, i feel the fact that the boards aren't straight adds to the abandoned look of the building.
As for the two characters, as i said, their bright colors contrast well against the background, and i'm digging the lack of line-work on them. The shading on the girl doesn't seem to match up with her surroundings though. For instance, the fox and the flowers have greenish shading to them, which suits them considering the background. The girl's more bright shadings makes her stand out a little too much, like she doesn't belong there. Like the flowers and fox, the shading on her should also be on the greenish side. Also, be careful with the anatomy, even when using a certain style. Her feet and arms look rather thick, and her left arm is awkwardly bent, like it was meant to be resting on something. Since it is her wrist resting on her knee, her arm should look more straight.

Dude, green is a bold color. I love how you painted the background almost completely monochrome. A very fun scene.

Green is not my favorite color, but It was what worked best for the flower and squirel to look good ^^
Monochrome is underrated, it is very funny to do and help understand value better.
