This is Koga, from Rumiko Takahashi's InuYasha. At 15 (human) years old, he is the young chief of the Yoro Wolf Demon Clan. He is in love with Kagome, and while he is a source of constant annoyance for her and Inuyasha's group, he's really a good guy, deep down.

Koga is one of my favorite characters in this series (second to Sesshy !). He's such a badass, ruffian cowboy, and his ponytail is adorable. I've always wanted to draw him, and I'm glad I finally did. I was hoping to use a picture of him skidding to a halt after running, but I remembered after I started drawing this one that I had that picture. Stupid me... oh well!

This piece is called Explosion because it is the image at the beginning of the first scroll (sort of like a chapter) in volume 27, and "Explosion!" is the title of the scroll. Koga gets blown up... ONOES! But he is okay. As Inuchan says, "Koga's a full demon. There's no way this could've done him in."

I took a new approach with this piece and took photos of the different stages of the WIPs themselves... so I have 6 pencil WIPs, instead of just one!
