Description
I was reading around my messages when I saw Sola's journal post [link]I knew a lot of people had the common sense of a tin can, and the current teaching system is under a huge strain (both my parents are teachers so I'm well informed there), but I never knew things were this bad already
A stamp might not be much to fight such a wave of ignorance, but it's far better than to sit back and do nothing
If you want to help spread the word feel free to use this. No need to Fav or to leave a note asking permission, though I would thank if you left a comment so I have an idea how many people are using it

I see *had a look at the results and I'm not surprised Port performed so poorly* T__T
Usually we comment on our national exams. Maths and Portuguese usually get the worst grades

I am not surprised about SpainΒ΄s performance either. And I am a teacher, by the way, so I live this problem day after day.
You know whatΒ΄s even worse than these wannabe idol kids and their inmature parents? Now, the new generations of teacher ARE PART OF THAT GENERATION OF BADLY EDUCATED KIDS. So, now you do can really start to blame those childish teachers of the new generation too Β΄cos they truly are the worst teachers ever.
When I was in teacher training it was horrible. My class and the whole center had such pupils with such low level that in the end, the quality and demand of the professors couldnΒ΄t be the proper one Β΄cos otherwise only three or four pupils would graduate every years. ItΒ΄s ridiculous, beyond understanding.
ItΒ΄s terrible but, this makes good pupils and decent people like me and some friends not want EVERYONE to go to university. ItΒ΄s not fair, itΒ΄s terrible saying such, but seriously, this whole situations is... you know what it is. Eveeryone in Spain has a fucking universitarian title but they are childish and beyond help in most senses. That isnΒ΄t fair either, Β΄cos there is people who got their titles working really hard, they are serioously interested in what they do, etc.
Well anyway, you know what I mean.

Urg, don't remind me. Both my parents are teachers and I'm seen how things are behind the scenes Xp
The wave of making things easier is beyond astounding. Weak students get to pass, which makes people wonder why they should put effort in their work in the first place. And parents expect teachers to give their kids education when it's the parent's job, so anything they actually learn in school gets lost at home because there's no discipline to keep that lesson in place
If it was only a matter of the student's skill, them entering the university wouldn't be much of a problem because the weak elements would be filtered out. The real issue is the quota education facilities have to keep of ow many students successfully pass
If most students are morons, sadly that lowers the standards and again is those who work hard that get the short end of the stick

It is sad how uncommon common sense is becoming. It's almost like an oxymoron D:
I will definitely use this, really good stamp!

If I had a subscription, this would be the first stamp in my collection.
It's scary how little common sense some people have nowadays. I mean, you talk to people, you see some of the things that people do, and it's just ridiculous.
I hope this stamp gets super popular and the word gets out; it's definitely something to think about
-bathes in support-

It's a pity they only allow stamps to subscribers. Plz accounts just aren't as good > >
I have to agree. I've seen my share of crazy stories and every time I'm more surprised how some stupidities actually happen!
Thank you, I hope so too

I LOVE this stamp. Thank you for making this awesome (and much-needed) little sticker
I'm in a job where I'm interacting with people all the time; and good grief, the LACK of common sense some of these people have never fails to utterly flabbergast me. It's really sad (and almost disgusting when you think about it) how little sense so many have these days.
In any case, kudos on the stamp; I'm definitely faving it!

Yeah, I've seen my share of senseless idiocy too. Makes me want to put a bullet to the brain sometimes Xp

Too familiar... "Common sense" should be a compulsory class for some people.
Nice stamp.

This is going in my stamp collection. So many people lack common sense today it's amazing. It's sad when you get a cup of coffee and it has a huge paragraph to warn people that it's hot. Sometimes I think the gene pool needs to be thinned.

Or when you look at someone who is amazed by finding out fire is hot and can burn you > >
I don't think it's the genes, it's the society in general and the wave of facilitism under the disguise of equalization Xp

Excellent! Will put this in my journal
And yeah it is pretty bad, what was listed is only the tip of the iceburg I fear it's spreading as I have lacked common sense a couple of times D:

Birvan In reply to Sola84 [2009-02-26 19:50:03 +0000 UTC]
Yay XD
Yeah and that's really quite depressing. I was hoping it was just the place where I live in, since that one has been lacking common sense for ages, but I was disappointed to find out it's a generalized thing T T
Occasional lack of sense isn't the same as completely disregarding it
