Yes, I love that Quiet kept the Leroux-glow to them, only making it even more pronounced. I sometimes want to revisit this piece, though, and add some highlights around his eyes to make the glow more pronounced--do it more justice, you know?

Yeah, the Leroux glow is awesome. I love his deformity in that one too, it's not the usual Leroux-or-ALW one. It's different. That phic is defiantly one of my favorites on FF.

Yeah, I've read it a few times. I compare it to a ton of fics even if I don't mean to. I only read POTO ones and that is definantly one of my favorites. I'll read any kind of ones though. I read this one where Erik wasn't even deformed! That was horrible!

I agree, Quiet's are some of the best ones on the site. There's also another one called Demons by WanderingChild. Have you read that one? It's one of the most popular. I also like the ones by Chapucera. Although her Erik is ALW based her fics are really good and Erik is fairly dark.

I recognize the SN WanderingChild, but I'm not sure that I've read her stuff. I am familiar with Chupacera, and while she does have a wonderful way with words, I have had some issues with her plot and character development that have kept me from truly enjoying her work. I recall beginning one story, thrilled with the prospect of a strong Christine, only for Christine to end up abandoning her principles for no good reason and taking up with an Erik who was TRULY a detestable bastard. I had to quit reading mid-chapter, I was so disappointed. It was such a shame, too, because she evokes such wonderful imagery with her words. Still, to each his/her own, as they say; I can see the appeal of her writing, but I can't really relate personally.

You should read Demons it's an amazing story that takes place after the musical I believe. Raoul gets killed in the Paris Commune and Christine accidentally ends up at Erik's house (she doesn't know that Erik lives there.) Erik, contrary to most, does not accept her at first but his servant takes her in because she's injured. Erik stays mad at her until something happens...I won't ruin the story for you I do that a lot unintentionally.
I can see why you abandoned her story. I think that she's got the potential to become an amazing writer because she does evoke imagery with her words and that's something very few writers have.

Yes! He's very Leroux-esque, and the story starts off a little slow, but becomes fantastic <3 Just you wait and see ;} I can do old and modern stuff, but it HAS to have corpsey Erik, and he has to be older-ish XD I don't know why; it's just best that way XD
