This doesn't bode well...

You see.. I was messing around in a supercomputer during its off-hours when lightning struck and a power surge caused a forced system shutdown, kicking me out of the computer. What I didn't realize was that the sudden shutdown left a corrupted copy of myself in the hard drive. When the supercomputer came back on days later, that copy came to life and went straight to my computer, disguised as a virus. But when I went in to fight it, I was met with a powerful copy of myself. He gave me a hell of a virtual beatdown and took most of my powers, leaving me much weaker and giving him the ability to manifest physically like I do.

He could have taken all my power and deleted me but now that I've come to know Byte a bit more, I know that's not really his style. He's not nice, but he doesn't mean to harm anyone unnecessarily. Not that I think he'd care if he did. I think half the reason he kept me around is to have someone to feel superior to. It's hard to believe someone so apathetic and competitive could be a copy of me!

I... don't really mind having him around though. He's kind of like an annoying older brother. Sometimes you get along and other times you fight, but it can be nice just to have the company.
