Description The General/ Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong

He'd be perfect as a Nightwing villain. Dick Grayson in many ways was a boy soldier. The General could be a dark, reflective character if his origin were reworked.

I've really been wanting to see this character show up.  I can see him as a serious threat that it is disappointing that DC won't use him in their cartoons.  Maybe Teen Titans Go will use him but then I know he'll be a joke there.

Good design here.  He reminds me of Kim Jong Un, but more dangerous.  Well done on making a little kid look threatening.

Please don't mind me casually comment jacking here but do you happen to be a fan of the General? It's just nice to see someone else that knows a bit about him :3 Xx

Oh yeah. I am a huge fan of the Silver Age stuff and I love that DC is going though their archieves and putting a fresh coat of paint on old characters that haven't seen print in decades.

I remember the character was a Roman general but I like the twist here of him being a military wunderkind here. I was hoping with the Ender's Game fad last year that DC might have brought him back but no such luck. I'm still hoping he resurfaces in the New52 one day.

I have to admit it was nice to see Ulysses be used as a villain for Tim in the Red Robin issues, though I was disappointed that they decided to change his hair colour from black to brown. Black seemed to suit him so much more ^^"

If I recall he dresses up as any military figure that links to his goals. In the case of the Roman general, he had taken home the homeless derelict, Julie Caesar, who believed himself to be the historical Julius Caesar and used to to recreate a battle against Robin. (I've been looking for that issue for ages to buy but no luck so far D: )
I know right?! Ulysses would have made an interesting villain in any of the new Batman Games... Or even Beware the Batman that went out of it's way to use obscure villains. It's a shame that they don't use him as he has a lot of potential ): and they seem to be working on some of the more obscure villains, so let's keep out hopes up! Xx
