Description
NOTE: This is NO official update for the original Vitae skin but a port by me with some own mods and additions to it.NOTE2: Works on Leopard only.
The skin includes a Magnifique package with:
Original theme: Vitae guiKit

You have to open & apply the .mfq.plugin file with Magnifique .

I know I can use Magnifique. I already have Aqua Inspiriat and prefer that over Vitae. I only wanted the menubar
I deleted the SArtfile, then replaced. It did the trick.

Ah ok. And yes, if you want to replace the SArtFile manually, you have to delete the old first, otherwise it will not work.

This is only for Leopard. If you are on Leopard, then use Magnifique to apply iTunes skin. If you're using Snow Leopard, then use this version of the skin -> [link]

I will but at the moment I have very sluggish animations (spaces) with my 9600GT under SL... that's so annoying that I'm still using 10.5.8. I hope it gets fixed in the upcoming 10.6.2.

I'm now on SL and working on the SL theme but it will last some days because in SL you have to theme most elements with artfile.bin...

Ok, so when I hit "get info" on a song in iTunes, it looks like the menus that appears for altering a song's tag are all in German. Where are the rsrc files that I would have to change in order to make them English?

Great theme!
I just noticed that after installing it using Magnifique my iTunes turned from English to German. Everything else is in English, but when I click Get Info on a song, the window that opens appears to be in German. Any ideas how I can fix this?

It seems I managed to fix it my self. I found the correct Localized.rsrc from backups and replaced the current one with it.

No, thats Safari 4 beta on the screenshot. There's unfortunately no way to get the tabs on top in the final.

just wanted to say this is a great theme! i was slightly skeptic from the preview that the small menu bar buttons would get to me or aqua button theming but it is a really SOLID theme. Love the eye-candy (that is not distracting).
Lots of creative/innovative ideas in this theme and the iTunes improvements will be timeless. Infinitely better than the original. I especially dig the round-edged rectangle for the search bar.

Hey man! This theme is awesome! I loved Vitae on Tiger and I still love it even on Leopard.
I have a question, can you make the menubar NOT traslucent? With the wallpaper I use it's ugly. If I set the menubar to not be trasluncent via System Preferecens the Apple menu becomes a big, black Apple logo.

You have to change the image 102 in SArtFile.bin to your desired menubar. Just decode SArtFile.bin with ArtTools, replace the image, encode it to a new SArtFile.bin, delete the old one from /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources and drag&drop the new one there.
