Description "For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light" (Ephesians 5:8)

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself” (Philippians 3:20-21).

“For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God” (Romans 8:19-21).

ARTIST NOTE: This is an illustration of a resurrected Believer in their glorified body (a child of light), assisting in the restoration of nature on the desolate and broken world after the Great Tribulation.  At this point, Scripture teaches that Jesus is ruling the entire world in perfect justice from His throne in Jerusalem and the Saints are ruling with Him and assisting in the restoration of all things for the Kingdom of God - this goes on for ten centuries (1,000 years), which is often referred to as the "Millennium" or the "Millennial Reign of Christ."  We see in Isaiah that during this period, some notable things happen, including the healing and restoration of nature itself - with the deserts returning to life and animals reverting back to their non-violent designs.  I wanted to show a sort of Tolkien "elvish" quality here - that wherever the Believer goes, the light and healing and life of God follow in nature - the Kingdom of God that Jesus said involved the healing of illnesses, disease, and destruction has come upon the earth.  So, we see in the dark, wintry, and dreary forest, warmth in the light and flowers and vegetation returning under the feet of the figure and that streams of "living water" are returning on their way to the deserts.  The figure is crowned with the cross of light - an allusion to the perfect global government of Christ - Jesus as King.
