Before I get into this, I have to say something: Everyone that looks at this, this design is a mix of Night Fury, Stormcutter, Skrill, and Flightmare. It is my sona, Megara (probably known as Shardie in this form) for the "How to Train Your Dragon" fandom and a design I am proud to call my own (the features and junk, I know the body isn't). So I have one request to all of you...:
Please do not copy anything off this design. By this I mean: Tail, head, dragon mixture, all that. I did this only for myself and I don't want anyone copying or basing their own character or sona off this design. It's something I want to be unique and my own 'Night Fury' design so please don't use any of my ideas on here. This isn't even a species of dragon or subspecies of Night Fury either, so no this isn't something you can make your own of either. I wanted to make a Night Fury form that was unique and fitting to me. So again, do NOT use this design in any way, shape, or form other than to draw the character. Not make it into your own OC or sona.
That aside, yes I actually forced myself to stay up even longer (seriously I'm like...Dead on my feet here...It's almost three in the morning...) to make a REFERENCE SHEET of all things for my HTTYD dragon form... Oh boy... Well might as well write down all that's important:
Name: Megara
Nicknames: Mega, Megadragon, Shardie (new favorite)
Gender: Female
Breed: A mix of Night Fury, Stormcutter, Skrill, and Flightmare (not an actual breed)
Class: None (but if I had to be in any, it'd be Mystery since I have features of four different dragons from different classes)
Rider: None (never will I accept a rider, I do let my friends get rides though. Sometimes with a saddle.)
Important Facts:
*Wings: I have two pairs of wings, the top pair is larger than the bottom pair because I sometimes only use the top pair to fly. I need them to be larger so I can keep in the air. As for the thumb-like claws, posable thumbs for picking stuff up. And drawing I guess. Can't draw too well with paws.
*Tail: The right fin is red, but only because it's representing my love of not just Night Furies but Toothless as well. This is sona-based, no story behind it. The symbol inside is the Strike Class symbol as well because: Best. Symbol. Ever. (in HTTYD anyway) It was dyed red somehow though.
*Scar and eyes: The eyes aren't blue because it's some 'rare and unique trait'. I made them blue because mine are blue. The scar is on all forms on my sona now. Got it in a battle I guess.
Plasma blast: It's blueish purple like a Night Fury's but with lightning surrounding it. I don't know how powerful it is, probably just the same effect as a normal Night Fury's plasma blast but with a shock of electricity to stun the opponent if lucky. As for the egg thing, I guess if I was to make a story, yeah that'd be the egg's design as well. I liked the Thunderdrum and Skrill eggs in "School of Dragons" so why not do something similar.
Size comparision: The only reason I'm larger than a legit Night Fury is because of the Stormcutter part of the design. They're pretty big themselves after all.
Glowy effect: I stated in the first picture that the glow does not mean I'm an alpha. Well I still stand by that information. Most of the glow is where the Flightmare part of the design comes in, causing the wing claws, eyes, paw claws, and tail tips all to glow as well as the spines down the back (which don't split apart. At least not right now they don't).
Tattoos: White Strike Class symbol tattoo cause I love the symbol. The blue one on my shoulders was made for me by my friend Moon-And-Fire-Queen and I love it. So it is my shoulder tattoos.
Statistics:
Habitat: A snowy valley with woods and a nice cave where she can watch the Northern Lights shimmer in the sky)
Weakness: Eels, Dragon Nip, Temper issues, cute things
Trainable: Debatable
Danger Level: ???
Dragon Tip: She likes getting feedback on her art. Makes her feel good.
Dragon Features
Dragon Color: Black with really dark grey stripes for markings
Notable Features: 4 wings, spikes on muzzle to forehead, red tail fin with mark, retractable teeth
Size: Large (for a Night Fury)

Special Ability: Posable thumb-claws at the top of each wing make holding items like mugs of coffee or drawing tools easier
Attack Level: ???
Speed Level: 28 (I think that's the Night Fury speed)
Armor Strength: 18
Firepower: ???
Shot Limit: 8
Venom: 0
Jaw Strength: 18
Stealth: 29 (in the air)
Extra: Does not like copycats and alphas. Especially ones that don't make sense or follow the rules of the HTTYD world.

Well this was a design for my sona before I scrapped the idea, but typing doesn't determine who she's friends with. If they get along she'd be friends. But being me, she's kind of socially awkward.

Nah I had the picture on my iPod. I've drawn those poses before and used it as a reference then traced over MY lines to make it cleaner.

This is jawesome. The Jaw Strength, Stealth, etc. are amazing and are originally done.

it has been a year now since phoenix had join the berk clan,everything was going great she was close friends with the group of young adults and had learn much about each dragon and there places,with all the types of dragons around she never really could bond with one,she tryed to keep her hopes up but with each try she only failed,and this is were our story began,
on a fresh spring sunny morning,hiccup,phoenix and the gang were out flying to find out were the fishing crew had gotten to,the fishing group had left long ago and had not returned,but the soon spot them,they had run aground on a island they had never seen before,toothless and the other dragons land on the dry sandy beach,phoenix got off his back and looked around"what do you supposed happened?"

"Or they could have run into a wild dragon." Fishlegs added.

"I agree with Phoenix." Hiccup nodded, "we'll meet back here at sunset if we don't find anything. If anyone finds something, have your dragon shoot up a fireball or roar. Got it?"
The other riders nodded before Astrid realized something.
"Wait a minute." she gestured to Phoenix, "Phoenix doesn't have a dragon. What if something happens to her?" She tried not to show it but she was concerned for the safety of her friends.

as phoenix made her way to the middle of the island she stopped when she saw a huge cavern in the middle of the island it was big nd wide and had a lake and trees"wow it looks as if part of the forest just sank down low into the island"she said to her self but with her attintion so focused on the sight she did not pay attintion to how close her foot was to the edge and when this happened,her foot sliped sending her sliding down the slop all the way to the bottom and rolling into the grass knocking her out and leaveing her spraled out on her back

phoenix soon grunted and placed her hand on her head opening her eyes and sighed"why dose this always happen to me?"she sat up and slowly stood but when she started to walk her right leg gave way she let out a startled yelp of pain as she fell it was her ankle,she had turned it"i guess i best call for hiccup"she cupped her hands over her mouth and let out a night fury roar

From a cave above a creature raised its head, earflaps raised and pupils dialated.

phoenix got no awnser for her call so she tried again and waited"come on somone awnser"she mumbled under her breath,it was starting to get dark and that is when dragons came out

The dragon on the cliff emerged and looked down with sharp eyes before giving a roar of its own in reply.

phoenix heard this and thought it was toothless she let out another roar of her own to let him know were she was

The dragon growled before giving a roar in response and spreading it's wings.

phoenix suprisingly knew that he was on his way she learned to understand the different types of meanings of each roar she sat there and waited for what she thought was her friend to come and get her

The dragon took flight, diving toward where the roar came from.

phoenix saw the night fury but her eyes whiddened when she realized it wasn''t toothless"oh my a wild night fury,this big fella isn't going to be to happy to relize i'm not one of it's kin"

The dragon continued downward before landing gracefully on it's hind legs. The wings folded as it dropped to all-fours.

phoenix exhaild hard and swalled just as hard"ok now i know you relize i'm not a night fury,but i coulduse your help,i sliped and fell off the ledge up there,and turned my ankle,so that means i can't walk or get my self up to the top"she held her hand out to the night fury"so if you help me,and not eat me,i'll be ever greatful"

phoenix sighed and put her hand down and stood to her feet and tried to walk but limped badly as she walked but fell to the ground again with a sigh"it's late and i need to meet up with the guys"

The dragon watched her for a moment before snorting and picking her up with its forint paws.

alarmed by this phoenix gasped slightl;y but then relaxed when she saw the night fury she smiled and relized it was a female"thank you girl"she said with a smile she then waited for her feet to touch the ground outside of the cavern

Instead the Night Fury spread her wings and took off with Phoenix still held between her front paws. Rising up above the mountains surrounding her home.

In response she stopped climbing and her second pair of wings unfurled so she could hover more easily. She then looked down at Phoenix as though waiting for something.

phoenix's eyes whiddened"wow a night fury with four wings?! so cool"she felt something inside with the dragon unlike the others"you must be part stormcutter"

The on,y response was a grunt, which was a somewhat affirmation. (Since it's hard to explain though, she was waiting for Phoenix to make that Night Fury call again. She could smell the other dragons on Phoenix, especially Toothless)

phoenix looked around"were are my friends toothless should be here"she sghed and did her roar again,not to far away toothless heard her roar and with hiccup on his back he took flight to her letting out a roar once he saw her he stoped and with a surpised look on his face when he saw the dragon"hey hiccup look who helped me out"she smiled

"How did you...?" Hiccup was at a loss for words. This was the first...Was it even a Night Fury? It did have the body of one but as he looked closer it also had ridges down it's muzzle like a Stormcutter and another pair of wings. Toothless tilted his head and gurgled at the other dragon who gurgled back in response.

The dragon snorted but looked pleased with herself. Toothless then gurgled again and the female gurgled back before moving closer and dropping Phoenix back on Toothless's saddle behind Hiccup.

phoenix looked at the female night fury"will i see you again?"she asked the female with hopefull eyes

The Night Fury looked at her, as though giving her a long, searching look before purring. Probably in a way of saying "we'll see" before taking off with a roar into the night.

phoenix sighed sadly she didn't want to see her go"well i guess we should go back"and with that they met up with the others and went home hiccup had told everyone about the night fury,once home phoenix was up stairs in hiccups room since she had no home of her own her and hiccup shared the room,she staired at the sky and sighed she then felt a nudge and saw toothless"oh hey fella,just thinking about the female night fury,i wish she came with us"
