)I wanted to do more with this piece but decided to stop here in order to start working on some 3d stuff.
I will keep on posting some more paintings and drawings during the time I work with 3D animations and other stuff, but they will probably only be sketches and practices. Just a heads up.

Whoa, awesome! I love how you pay attention to detail in both the characters depicted as well as the background! I'm trying to get better about BGs--they're still a "OMG scared of it..." phase but it'll slowly disipate with more practice.

I know what you mean, BGs are really hard. I personally find it easier if I plan the background in the same way and at the same time as I plan the rest of the picture.
After all the BG is a part of the painting too

A very good point. That way, you know how to position everything to further pose the composition and emotion as well.

Exactly, and the time you put into the BG in the beginning doesn't have to be very long, in this painting for example I just drew the basic shape of one tank that I then duplicated and moved around to get the look I wanted.
