Very true... Especially the goth and anime part. I hate going on to the main page and finding that 4 out of 6 of the DTF are all in the same category.

u got some points..but actually to deny the facts that kinda styles(the stuff ur talkin about , gothic , anime bla bla) overcome lots of the others wont change anything..(btw wer tryin to change something on DA right ? ^^ ) its not about art..its about to offer superior visual creations..too normal for em to get more attentions and views..people like em so am i..(simply ; dark tones on photos and manipulation , anime,comic style drawings..a long list).u dont have to call them ART..just enjoy the visuality ^^ but u can try to make people explore the other styles too, for art's sake..(yes ,skillfull ones and the most of
the DA focused on that styles it seems , im not sayin there are no real arts in them.. - im new here so dont know much ^^ - )
beside ur wrong about the 8. way ; after ur hard work maybe u will know how good u are , but the others decide that u make real piece of art or u dont..(like here , as u do , criticizing the styles . - ok,ok i saw ur ps. , u have nothing against any of em ^^ )
here starts another irony..hundreds(err thousands?) of users and millions of creations here yet there are a few dozens of real pieces of art that everyone can agreed on geniusly created.(i dont have any yet.. ^^)lots of em lie somewhere in the DA waiting for their label , their title "real piece of ART"..by whom ? by the hands that fave ing the stuff wer talkin about of course.( yes im one of em) ur sayin "we got a serious ARt problem?" or "really,how can i be more popular?" let there be a few but real ones..u know em and i do..so whats the matter ? ^^ im sayin there is a thin line between makin real art and geniusly made impressive creations that makes u popular.and all those creations dont have to be called an ART..no need for that as long as people enjoyin it(dont get it wrong way..im only talking about visual stuff on the DA..)
anyway , generally agreed ,we speak the same just from different perspectives..

Because of abuse - Anthro submissions were always invading the DTF.
This was before the DTFs were divided into categories.
I think the same happened with anime, but I'm not sure. Anthro for certain, though.

I think the best way to be popular is to be a good looking, big breasted, female moderator that draws chibi powerpuff girls and harry potter fanart, and animates it using sex jokes and graphic violence...
(Inuyasha fanart works too, but Inuyasha´s art is kewl, and the anime rocks, so I don´t have annything against Inuyasha fanart heh)

Je note aussi que pour avoir pas mal de Fav et de comment on peut faire des manuels sur comment avoir des daily dev, comment se faire aimer sur DA, comment être au DTF... Tout les manuels que j'ai pu lire (et générallement ils sont très drôles) sont très bien noté à ce niveau
En tout cas cela me fait toujours rire.

Oui, la dernière méthode est toujours la meilleure.
Pour les autres manuels, moi j'en ai plusieurs, mais dans me journaux... après le succès que cette pièce a eu, je n'ai pas voulu en faire davantage et détourner l'attention de mon art...
car la plupart des gens cliqueraient directement sur ces pièces humoristiques... comme tu viens de le faire

Actually it did, which was unexpected and not a little ironic.
It's silly, considering I wrote in what, five minutes? it's proven its own point, that deviations that aren't worked on, get undeserved exposure.
This was the grand-daddy of all Lovely Devious Habits columns. And its stupid success was the reason LDH were journals, not deviations.
