You may have noticed this page is looking a little different from the rest. A little more shady, perhaps? I'm sure it's a little jarring, but hopefully it looks a little better? Maybe? If you're curious, there's an unshaded version here for comparison. I dunno, what do you guys think? Better? Worse? Irrelevant?

I love to see the experimentation.
I feel that the use of the shading on Josiah's face in the last panel makes him like slightly gaunt.
This conversation's a bit of a downer man, break out the scotch, we're getting wasted!

Don't worry, something exciting is going to happen...soonish! I think Daniel is probably the type of person who knows the power of his puppy dog eyes, and knows the exact right moments to bust them out.
I had fun experimenting and playing around with the shading, but I think I might stick with the original style. I'm so indecisive!

I'm seeing a terminator-esque overlay, analyzing the scene for the opportune moment to slay the room with puppy dog eyes.
I woudn't discard the experiment though, why not try a single rendered version of Daniel? That's not a suggestion that might result in more Daniel nudity. Definitely not.

Yeah, no totally! I mean like, I gotta make sure I practice drawing him from all angles and you know...like getting the details just right and stuff. Y'know?
But seriously I am totally not against drawing Daniel nudity (or nudity in general), I just feel weird about it sometimes because I worry that it creeps people out, or like, no one wants to see it? I don't know why I worry about it honestly. But between you and me (and whoever else might be reading this comment), I'd totally draw more naughty stuff if I knew people were interested!

I like both although I prefer the unshaded as it is a bit more cartoonish (that is just because I prefer cartoon-like style).
I am sure any date can be improved if one of the involved parties utters the line "I am not a therapist".

I think I have to agree with you there. I started drawing this series without shading because I liked the flat, kind of cartoony look of it, and although I do like the way the shading looks, I think I'm going to stick with the original style since it kind of works better for this. Thanks for the input!
