Description It's been a real long time since I did any art born of bitterness.

Something in common between policy and medicine- they define wellness as the absence of an immediately critical condition. If you keep trying to stack on these quick-fix-it patches for a bigger problem, you end up with nothing but a scarred wreck. Apparently it's less work to scramble to find a solution that doesn't work, only to do the whole damn thing all over again, than it is to keep an eye on the situation the whole time and prevent a fiasco from happening in the first place. Well, one of them involves sitting on your hands most of the time. And Congress does a bang-up job of this whenever pork or campaigning isn't involved.

The black thing is some sort of fueling tube.

Drawing this felt good. I got some cold rage out of my system.

Oh, and there's no watermark on this one because I don't want to ruin the effect. But I'll have you know that if you repost any of my work without my permission, I'll personally bust in your legs so that you'll stand like a flamingo for the rest of your life.

Thanks!

You can make your own screentones in Photoshop with a pretty effortless procedure, actually. All you have to do is make a few clicks this way:
1. Open up a canvas of anything. It could be a flat block of a gray color, or a texture like a scanned piece of crumpled paper. Just make sure it's not pure black or pure white, or else this won't work. Screentones create the illusion of grays using only black and white dots of various spacing, reducing gray areas to either an absolute white black dot or an absolute black dot. If it's already solid white or black, it won't have anything to make the pattern with.
2. Put the image in Grayscale mode. Image---> Mode---> Grayscale.
3. Put the image into Bitmap mode. Image---> Mode---> Bitmap. But don't click OK yet. On the slide down menu, select "Halftone Screen".
4. You'll get another menu for how you want the screentone to look. Play around with all these options for a lot of different patterns. If you decrease the frequency, you'll get a more rough and grainy tone, for example. When you're all set, click OK. There's some trial and error involved, but each trial should produce results that are good for something.
5. Define the screentone as a pattern so you can use it with your paint bucket. Edit--->Define Pattern
6. Lather, rinse, repeat to make as many tones as you need. There are a lot of options by changing the source image as well as playing with options like the pattern and frequency. Just don't get too carried away.

Great artwork. Does this represent the current state people are in? True that things aren't so great.

Thanks! If he represented the state of current people, it wouldn't be his own fault, so not exactly. If Void is a scarred scrap heap, it's just as much his fault as his mechanics, for continuously adhering to the warpath. The idea that sparked me was as I described, though, and I do indeed take most solutions with a grain of salt. Thanks for sharing your interpretation.

Wish I had something more to tell you than just 'awesome'. Let's see, although this has a lot of different textures and tones it is very well-defined. I also can notice your improvements in anatomy; Void's head is particularly well-proportioned here.
