Description Finished this guy finally.

Mysterio's story is a simple one. A tale of vengeance and madness... Quentin Beck, simple man, good at his job as an effects artist but with hight ambitions. After a streak of misfortunes and the folding of his SFX company, he turned to small crime using his practical knowledge of trickery. It didn't last as he was apprehended by Spider-Man. Years latter, a new villain entered the scene. Seemingly, he knew everything about Spider-Man, always appearing somewhere within the eyesight of our friendly neighbor. At first he was just there, in the background, seen for a split of a second. And then, Peter's family started to see him. And then, the madness begun...

Love how ominous you've made Quentin Beck look, honestly Mysterio is one of my fave Spiderman villains and i really wish they would explore just how much psychological warfare he could use against Spider-man, still great character and great redesign

Thank you very much!
They will never go full on with Mysterio on film. There is no way they will show anything more than Mysterio being a fraud, using special effects for fame and glory. I must admit, I wish there were Spider-Man movies in 80's-early 90's just because the villains would be allowed to actually be villainous and threatening.

yeah, that stuff isn't bad for a first appearance but i feel that if that's all you do with him, it's just stagnating the potential of the character, what i'd do if i made a Spider-man movie is set it years after Peter's been Spider-man so you can have a lot of the characters already establisher or establish them in new ways, i had this idea for a story where it's a bit like Spider-man ps4, except Peter quit being Spider-man for two years after Mary Jane is killed. Then after he gets back into the swing of things, his first major opponents in years would be Massacre, which brings him out of retirement, Silver Sable, who he develops a complicated relationship with, and lastly the Scorpion, who was made in an attempt to make what Jameson believe's would be a more efficientΒ  and reliable Spider-man but who goes of the deep end as the Scorpion DNA drives him psychotic from the physical and psychological pain, plus the suit entrapment only having the pain amplified from how it restricts his mutating body, that he can only relieve from hurting others, a metaphor for how he is projecting his self inflicted state onto others instead of accepting that he did it to himself, sorry have a lot of story ideas and wanted to get one down

That would be cool. But will never happen, audience doesn't want anything dark, producers want to cater to the audience, so we'll just get visually cool, but watered down movies. As much as I love MCU as it is, I still wish that they would just let the stakes be higher, villains more evil, so that the hero's struggle and eventual victory actually has some payoff. I must commend them for some of the movies, though (CA3, IW, IM3, GotG..), and I hope that there will be more risky and interesting scenarios in the future with lasting effects.Β

that's true, it's a shame how restricted everything is by general audiences but if i made a movie i'd have faith that an audience can handle more severe stuff, but then again i'm not a film maker so what do i know

You see what happens with every movie today. It will be endlessly dragged on line and "meme"fied to no end. If I were a film maker, I would, also, be hesitant to try anything. Basically, both sides are to blame. Audience for dissing anything that is out of the comfort zone and Hollywood for being a bunch of money hungry idiots.Β

This is really awesome, and I love the growing mystery on his revenge.

I always thought Mystery was a villain that had potential, but wasn't used properly. The thing about Mystery is that the Mystery of him is solved in his first appearance. And then from now I we always known its Quentin Beck and his smoke and Mirrors.

Thanks!
I imagined him as an obsessive type stalker. Imagine the cross between the Slender Man (done using SFX and trickery) and a stalker type thriller villain, the one that would infiltrate your life and slowly destroy it while you start loosing your sense. Pair him up with the Chameleon, add a lot of stolen identity and framing hijinks and it would be a pretty horrifying experience for poor Peter Parker.

That is honestly how Mysterio should be done, a guy who is slighted and uses all his special effects mastery to psychologically destroy people with his illusions and who manipulates his team mates for psychological leverage and also to further his own mysterious greater goals

yeah, Mysterio honestly has so much potential as a leading force in Spider-man's rogues gallery and i feel you can have him be both a fun character with his love of cinema and over the top personaliy while and also having him be a terrifying monster who will force people to relieve their greatest failures, their ultimate losses, the greatest experience in life only to rip the illusion away to cause them greater suffering while he is completely detached to all feelings or thoughts around him due to seeing everything as no better then an illusion in his mind addled by his own hallucinogens

They do! Honestly, I felt Spidey could use some improvement over the years, especially in recent times.

yeah, last year was great for Spider-man due to practically reviving him with a great new spin on the universe by insomniac, the release from Slott with a great new run that respects the character with a writer who knows what he's doing and a badass movie that singlehandedly pays loving tribute to the entirety of Spider-mans legacy

Honestly, I'm just happy to see the writer/drawer of Invicible working on the series and having him be back together with MJ for good this time. I still gotta play the insomniac game, but I hear its the best take on Spidey yet.

i mostly know Nick Spencer from Superior Foes of Spiderman which is honestly one of the most fun books with of the best c-lister villains becoming amazing characters. Also insomniacs Spider-man is honestly one of my favourite Spider-man adaptions and a major influence on the Spider-man universe i've come up with
