Description
A reconnaissance Model-II multi-purpose spacecraft of the Meritonian Commonwealth Space Force moves through a small asteroid field near Sector-504C, where a confrontation between two unknown spacecraft occurred the prior day.---
Nicknamed by crews "Tincan" or "Sardine can" due to its cramped interior, the Model-II "Eclipse" multi-purpose spacecraft is a medium sized space vehicle, designed to be as durable and as modular as possible for any type of deep space mission. Introduced at the height of the second space race, these vehicles were used by the Meritonian Commonwealth as the backbone of their space force and were mass produced in orbit over several planets due to their cheap cost. Dozens of surplus Model-IIs were exported to various space faring nations and corporations at the end of the second space race, and as a result are a common site to see docked at various civilian and corporate space stations. The standard Model-II Eclipse can be equipped with up to four SIM-143MR space-interceptor-missiles, or a single space-to-space A-523CĀ 23-millimeter cannon. The above Model-IIDSR (deep-space-reconnaissance variant) has been equipped with a single bottom mounted missile and a frontal observation cabin with built-in communications interception equipment.

It is primarily based on one of the Mir core module's early concept designs, as well as the Soyuz TMA.
