Description
I would've had a preview pic here if I knew how on the new submitting page. But because it is a PNG file...it no let me... until I figure it out. After a long...long...long time a waiting (and me putting it off) PART FREAKIN' TWO!!
Please do not steal the pictures of Silver.
WARNING: It's alot more words than part 1.
Again...I advise you read it through first before putting it to use. I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible. So those that are super-advanced in Photoshop CS or higher...don't bug me.
Also...I didn't make that change like I said I would in Part 1. If you don't know what I'm talking about...
If there are pieces of this tutorial you do not understand, please refer to Part 1 of the tutorial.

If you're still lost and Part 1 didn't help, feel free to ask.

It's not as popular of a program to use I'm assuming- I don't have it myself unfortunately so I don't know how the tools would translate.

hey its me again and i just need to ask one more thing from you if you dont mind
for the brushes how do i make the brush tool fad and than brighten? o3o
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BlazeTBW In reply to shockthehedgehog102 [2011-01-09 18:45:44 +0000 UTC]
That's by changing the opacity, it's in the same upper bar on top where you can see your brush size and such.

shockthehedgehog102 In reply to BlazeTBW [2011-01-09 19:44:31 +0000 UTC]
ohhh ok i see now but in your tutorial how did you make your brush like that?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BlazeTBW In reply to shockthehedgehog102 [2011-01-09 20:05:03 +0000 UTC]
To my knowledge, for the 7.0 program, you just set the opacity lower than 100%. The lower the number the more transparent the color (in this case the brush).
As you go over that same area, the color will become more solid as it basically builds its way back up to being the solid color it normally would be. The lower the opacity number, the longer it's going to take for the color to become solid once more.

shockthehedgehog102 In reply to BlazeTBW [2011-01-09 20:25:52 +0000 UTC]
and thats how you got that brush stroke? just by changing the opacity?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BlazeTBW In reply to shockthehedgehog102 [2011-01-09 21:18:24 +0000 UTC]
If you want a varying stroke- go to your brush window ( Window > Brushes ) and have "Shape Dynamics" checked. From there, you basically put the slider for "Minimum Diameter" for how fine or wide you want the brush.
Otherwise, if you're looking for a specific brush, try looking through the default brushes and seeing what works for you.

BlazeTBW In reply to shockthehedgehog102 [2011-01-09 03:13:59 +0000 UTC]
There's a chance that you may have your selection reversed some how. If that happens again, try going to Select > Inverse and try coloring inside then.

On top where it says File, Edit, and all that- go to:
Select > and select "Inverse" when your selection is active. (When you have marching ants.)

That's because you're most likely coloring either ON the outline layer, or you're on a layer ON TOP of the outline layer. Just make sure you're coloring on a later BELOW the outline layer, and you should be good~

i used CTRL+G but instead of an arrow, a weird folder icon shows up. What does that mean?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BlazeTBW In reply to riodile [2010-08-12 08:10:03 +0000 UTC]
You're probably using a newer version of Photoshop (not Elements) and the function "Groups" the layers instead of the mask. They call it something else (I forget what)- but it's under Layers > Clipping Mask (or something like that, and it has some odd shortcut for it that isn't ctrl+G).

riodile In reply to BlazeTBW [2010-08-12 08:35:35 +0000 UTC]
you're right. it turns out that i have to use Alt+Ctrl+G instead when i use Photoshop CS2.
Say what should i do if there's more than one lighting?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
BlazeTBW In reply to riodile [2010-08-12 17:45:01 +0000 UTC]
See which lighting you feel is more dominant and put more emphasis on that said direction of lighting.
