I'm still not sure what this flower is, but I still think it's pretty. The original, unprocessed photo was very washed out. I posted the original when I first submitted this deviation. At that time I was very strongly against editing photos in any way because I felt that it cost the photo its integrity or its accuracy to the real world. That was back in 2013. Since then, I've learned so much about photography and photo editing. I now think of software like photoshop, Affinity Photo, or Gimp as digital darkrooms to develop digital negatives - the RAW file. Learning that most professional photographers actually edit their photos helped me realize that I was actually squandering the potential of my photos by not allowing myself to process them. It's also a great way to get creative and make art!
