as for how to remove the background-- which program do you use?
if Paint Tool Sai, you have to have version 1.1.0 in order to save transparent .PNG
but if you have Photoshop, simply save as .PNG and delete the background layer!

If you have sai and photoshop, great!
Simply save your Sai files as .PSD, open in Photoshop, and then save as a .PNG after you remove the background layer and eveyrthing is transparent that you want to be transparent. <3
