Personality: Serious on the outside and extremely forward. She's got tons of emotions running under those eyes, though. Don't be fooled.
History: An older sister of Jupetta's. The family had been doing well since the aforementioned ghost's absence, but after the Kami war, it's been near impossible to find the family in whole.
Her early life was simple and cherished. Back then, she cared not of what happened around her like a child normally would. Neither did she have any taste for worldy topics like leaders, rulers, villages, and what of it. Happy enough was she to dress up and share her charm with the world around her—In her mind, she was a little princess in a perfect little family and nothing else could be desired. After her brother's disappearance, things started to change. Still, she sat herself in front of a mirror to pat at her face and play with her hair, but there was so much to be overheard between doors, halls, and walls. First it was worry, then fear. She watched as one younger than her isolated herself from everyone else. She watched as her family seemed to unthread itself at the seams.
You see, his disappearance was damaging in many ways. Two parents who believed they did their best to make him feel welcome despite the obvious mistake—siblings who had all known nothing any different other than he was their brother. Some of the boys would try and protect him; say he should find different friends. But their brother seemed to be attached to imminent end he had picked for himself, and nothing could be done about it. He'd leave at night when he thought none saw him, her eyes turning from the window as she moved to her mirror to brush her hair yet again, though no amount of strokes seemed to set the strands in place. She had to learn that a perfect appearance could not cure the aching of her heart.
This action still remained a therapy for her—after watching some siblings take out their aggressions on others or whatever else was around. One left after some time—one of her sisters, and the first to start this trend. She didn't seem like she wanted to accept that her brother had disappeared and never would return. Like a child, she wanted to stay in some fantasy where he'd come back the next morning as if nothing ever went wrong. Unrest would build up more in their home, and eventually her brush left abandoned by a mirror. Unlike her sister, she had to grow up.
When old enough, she took over taking care of their parents as they grew with age. She put less time to herself and more to those who needed it—her family, villagers, even strangers—until one day she realized how futile it was. That no matter how much she gave to the world, nothing would mend her home and those she loved dearly. After they passed, she held the house to herself and to take care of the village's children until the Kami War--and even that remnant was taken from her.
In this time she learned how to fend for herself--how to protect others and took on the strength she needed to survive. She went around villages after the gods would strike; helping in whatever way she could. Near the end of the wrath did she come across a lone burnt restaurant. There she found the sister who ran away, Etsuko, and the only bit of her family she had seen in so long, it seemed.
"If nothing else," she thought, "I want to at least keep her safe." Words she has lived by up until now.
Likes: Successful hunt, safety, calm settings, breezy afternoons
Dislikes: Storms, deceit, and criminals
Additional info:
- As much as she'd like to sit down and pamper herself, she knows better and has nearly long lost the desire for such.
- Her dynamic with her sister is almost a bickery sort, but she means well and naturally worries a lot--especially about Etsuko's health
- She is scared to talk with her sister about the past, and how it seemed to have changed her entirely.
