Oh my god I am so happy with how this came out!Lately I've been stuck in an art slump, so it was such a relief to be able to finally draw something that I felt was somewhat successful! In retrospect there was a lot of things I could've changed - for one thing, no to cut off so much of her hair or at least center her more - but overall, this was such a good learning experience!

Copious amounts of the Little Mermaid always makes me happy~~. Mermaids are good for the soul.

Not at all! The real tale did somewhat inspire the foam part of it, but I thought it'd be a nice touch to add foam to the magical transformation of her becoming human. I guess it's an just allusion to the Hans Christian Anderson version.
