More portrait practice!!Really glad how this turned out; I had a lot of fun!
I always thought it was incredible how much Hotaru had to carry upon her shoulders, and how she was able to handle a lot of that responsibility for someone so young. It made me really happy to see that she was reborn, and maybe she could have some wonderful people to help her carry any future responsibilities she'd have.
Paint Tool Sai, roughly 3 hours.

Myself, I think this is one beautiful portrait. I totally agree about her being given a second chance.
Not really knowing much about the seasons after this took place, I just wonder if Rini (Chibi Usa)

I love the way you shaded the hair!
You might want to work on he chin line though, for front angle the chin should be centered and the sides of the face more symmetrical. The flip test is a good way to see if you've got it right!

Thanks for the tip!! I hadn't realized the chin was so pointed until after I was done- I think probably too, I painted too much hair directly over that side of the face so it really made her look unsymmetrical! Thanks so much!

I love the shines on the hair! Looks very professional. The way the flowers surround her really frames the whole thing well.

I don't know who that is but I think the picture is very pretty. I love the backround shades of this I think it's amazing. I also like the small detail like the little bit of hair sticking out at the top. It just brings so much more depth to the overall picture.
