No. They are hippogriffs. A horse and a griffin make a hippogriff. But in this case the horse is a pony. They aren't meant to be griffins.

Sorry for the mistake, but what I meant was, isn't the pink one supposed to be Gilda and Cheerilee's and the green one for the other couple? Sorry if I'm wrong, it's just that the colors match like that (in my opinion)

Oh. That. I wanted to give them different colored feathers. They do still carry the green and purple feather genetic though. So people can use that if they want to make children for them. Or they could change the color for their feathers to their parent's feather color. I just wanted to make them look a bit more original.
But I respect your opinion about them looking out of place. I can see how they do look out of place.
