Description
Even when she is engrossed in pony dress designing process, Rarity doesn't mind it when her sister visits her room. It can be very uplifting for her to take a little break with such a playful soul around, eager to be wrapped up in the older Unicorn.__________________________________________________________
The drawing is based on one of the sketches (Sketch #2 - Sisters ) by the talented artist SkyBoundDeos - I really recommend you to visit his page and look at his amazing works.

The idea how to complete this scene came from the cloudy memories from my childhood. My siblings and I would sometimes have fun disturbing our parents at their work - especially our mother, who worked at home and looked after us the whole time. The cloudy part concerns her sewing work, I remember that we used sewing tools like buttons and ribbons as toys. If I'm correct, when she had to use a very big piece of fabric, she had to lay it down on the floor to draw cutting lines.
From all the ideas that came to my mind, I have decided that such setting would be the best choice for coloring Fashionista Rarity.

Ok, I'll start by just saying this piece is really good, but I do have some criticisms which I hope you will find useful. I could go through all the things I love about this piece, but it would probably take longer than the criticisms, and not be as useful, so here's some feedback, for what it's worth
Anatomy:
-I think that Rarity's ear is too small, it's both smaller than a real horse and the MLP show model, and certainly smaller than in the sketch as well. I know this could be more a personal preference, but it just looks a bit out of place to me the size it is.
-The horns seems strange in the way they have the same kind of appearance as the ponies' coats, despite surely being a different surface. You might want to consider adding some texture, (or possibly changing the colour to a more natural one) to show that they are indeed hard horns, and not a softer body part like a tail dock or ear. If it's any help, narwhal horns are often used as a reference for 'traditional unicorns' images.onlinegalleries.com/gfx…
-The Hooves: I like the detailing of the underside, and your choice of colour for them doesn't look out of place either, however they seem too soft; real hooves are generally shinier and coarser; I know Rarity takes very good care of them, but they still feel a little too 'perfect'
Shading/Lighting:
- Overall, the shading is very good, most especially on the ponies themselves, however the shadows of the ponies onto the background is less convincing; they are too soft I think, and lack any definition or shape of what is casting them, giving a bit of a break between the characters and the background.
-There are some blue patches of light on Rarity's arm (under her hair), and on her legs; I don't know why they are there? If there should be blue anywhere I would have thought the part of her legs touching the carpet would be where it'd be, (from the reflected colour), but it's actually very pink there, which again makes the character feel at odds with the background.
Well I'll leave it at that, I hope you gained something from reading all that ><
Overall it is a great piece, and don't let these things get you down (some of them aren't necessarily mistakes and can be preference anyway)

Yeah, there is some personal preferences in this drawing.
But I can't agree with you about the hooves - ponies already proved that they are capable of grabbing things with their hooves so I think that they can't be too solid. They just should have a bit different structure than horse hooves. I wonder if I shouldn't draw there some structure resembling some finger-like structure - I mean to mark some lines that may show that some parts of the hoof may bend in some directions.
Other things come from my lack of knowledge and experience. And some I just somehow missed.

Well you've got me there when it comes to the show actually, maybe they have magnets in their hooves XD
I feel making it more like a hand/paw or claw might look quite strange though, and start to cross into a sort of Anthro thing, but idk, if someone can prove me wrong it would probably be you
My headcanon is that the MLPonies are basically a highly evolved form of horses (kinda like what humans are to apes), so they still have actual hooves. All the technology in the show would have to (at least initially for the tools) be made by unicorn magic. I mean by hooves alone the most you'd be able to make would probably be a mud house or a sharp spear. Earth ponies would just have to deal with unlike the show where they can have magical hooves at the writers' convenience

I think that they have dexterous hooves. I bet it's a mix of magnetic magic and flexible hoof structure. The hoof bones could split into some inside fingers allowing them to adapt hoof shape for needs. You may imagine that they have human-like hands in fingerless gloves.

First, gorgeous work on the unicorns themselves. They're so soft and smooth, well-defined and with plenty of depth. Of course Rarity's playfulness and Sweetie Belle's squealing laughter come through strongly and make the picture an absolute delight. The background and all of the objects came out spectacularly too, with great definition that makes them look almost real. Perspectives for everything look great, and even just the composition of how everything is laid out seems pretty much perfect for an afternoon hanging out while on the job. And the bits of crayon color on Sweetie Belle make her even more adorable.

Unbelievable amazing. It looks not only cute, all the details in the shading, the hair and the hooves look just great. Rarity's smile is so playful, she really must love spending time with her little sister who brings some variety in the designing and sewing.
