Description
Purpose:• The main purpose of this extension is to display your current deviantART "message centre" items/counts in your statusbar (lower-right corner of the browser).
Current Version:
• The latest version is 0.9.1 as of 12/20/06.

Compatability Issues:
• Doesn't appear to work with ChromEdit.
To Install:
(1) Click the "download to desktop" button (alternatively, you can right click on the download link and choose to "Save Target As").
(2) Save the file as "deviantMessage.xpi".
(3) Once the download is complete, open the file in your browser (File -> Open File) and allow it to install itself.
(4) After installation, close Firefox.
(5) Reopen Firefox and go to "Tools -> Extensions", select deviantMessage and hit "Options" to set preferences.
Miscellaneous:
• If you encounter any problems please note me.
• If you use this plugin, please let me know what browser and version you're using.
• This works on the latest versions of Firefox, Mozilla and Netscape. It's been indicated that it works on Linux, Mac and PC.

I've been using this for a long while. I just recently upgraded to the FF3 Beta 5, and it currently is incompatible. It's probably futile to make one that works for only the beta, but are there any plans to do so anyway?

Hey bluespeed9!! I've loved using this ff extension for a long time! I dunno what dA's changed in the past few months, but deviantMessage has be reporting incorrect comment counts lately. Only when the message center page is refreshed once or twice does the count correct itself. Could you please look into this? Thanks very much in advance!

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, according to deviantART I have "1NW" Which is a news article, maybe they renamed it or something but it doesn't show up in deviantMesage and in options it's not in the list of abbreviations (like 1c, 1n, 1j etc..) I was just letting you know, would it be easy to update this?
