has a contest, to enter you have to make a picture or story about Antoine and spring.So I made a picture about one of the first things I think ant would do at springtime, and while Sally sticks to Sonic, she can't help but to be a little flattered
I thought about making a background, but I can't figure out how the layers in GIMP works.. and then I thought it looked good as it is, so I'm posting it without a BG.
And yes, I'm using GIMP instead of PS now

Dude, I dunno if GIMP is just working better for you, you've improved all kinds, or I've just been awhile since looking at one of your inked and colored works, but this looks incredibly clean and sharp. Awesometacular!
Of course, classic SatAM moment nailed. That's a line Antoine would undoubtably follow up with a "pum" about her being "the cauliflower of my eye, the cucumber of...etc. etc."
I'm also laughing all kinds that after you did this and joined up with *Antoine-aholics , they must've scoped out your profile and looked at a few of your favourites, 'cuz they hit me up with one and I don't even draw Antoine so far 
If more people join in the contest and it's not an automatic default victory to you, I would definately vote in your favor.

It's the ink, color, and light shading that's all done clean. I usually get one (typically the ink) that look a little sloppy, making it unprofessional in appearance. This actually looks like a nifty little cartoon
Oh I may have some 'Twan themed plans of my own... I just may...

Eh, it doesn't matter that much if the inking is sloppy if you color it, and you do color very good.Some of chad's inking isn't perfectly inked, but after coloring you don't notice it

On the actual matter of the picture, I really like it ^^ youβve kept them very in character and on-model, yet you've still managed to add your own unique touched to the characters. I wish I could be that good...
I have to agree with golddemona, though, that this picture would be even cuter if you had used Bunnie instead of Sally.

A personal style is something that comes in time, somewhere between the obsessed drawing and the depressed art block periods, been drawing sonic for 3 years now and stuff...

Feh! They might as well not even call it "Spring" break but "Winter Break, part II"...
But I've been drawing Sonic and anime stuff for a few years now, too... I guess it's just because I'm still at the point where I like to be on model and any changes I do make still seem too abstract.
As for Ant/Bunnie, I guess that makes sense, but I could have sworn that she and Ant still had a moment or two in SatAM... Ideally, the ARCHIE relationship wouldn't have even come about if there wasn't SOMETHING between them in SatAM... and I think it says something about her liking him in the SatAM bible... (But then, it also says that she has a French braid and lipstick, I think...)

Hmm ok.. I gotta read the bible sometime.. though I can't remember Ant being more than a friendly to her, oh well..
But I also want to be on model, any personal style comes by itself, I don't plan on making it stylized, it just happens
I have been almost obsessed with being able to draw perfectly on model, and thus making detailed construction models and stuff which helped alot, only bad side is that it takes more time, and the art risk loosing some of its life.
But if you have any questions, I might be able to help, it's always fun to help people who wants to be helped

If I remember correctly, in the Bible she says she like both Antoine and Rotor but either like Antoine more or at least can tolerate him more because Rotor has fish-breath.
Maybe that's what I should do, though. Make my own models while still using my "How to draw Sonic and the Gang" book and those turn-arounds from saturdaymorningsonic.com. The thing is, this is exactly the kind of thing I set out to do but end up never doing because other stuff gets in the way. My drawing class is a prime example of why I am/would now. Thankfully, it's over some time in May so I'll have more time and energy for completely recreational drawing then.
I'm flattered you'd offer me help, though, but I must decline. I get the feeling that, while I'm aware you mean well and are only trying to help, I'd only get depressed/defensive. I think I've learned to take critiques better since I've started, but still.

Hehe I know what you mean about taking critique, but I only meant that I'd might be able to answer a question you might have about something, without the critiqe part
Though, it's best if you can solve it yourself, I have a feeling you learn more from it.
And I know your situation, when I went to art classes it was hard to get the willpower to draw in my sparetime as well.

If I had used PS, I would have added lighting and perhaps even a background... the layers in gimp doesn't act like layers xD

This scene occurred very early in the history of the Freedom Fighters: before Sonic rushed to join on Sally's invite. Antoine had wooed Sally -but his love went unrequited. Valient deeds like saving Bunny (before she acquired super-powers in being partially robotized) by rolling a boulder down upon a swatbot, smashing the walking junkpile, weren't justly recognized.
Antoine lost his direction and purpose,becoming a bungler and a laughing stock, and this was the situation when Sonic joined.
