Description
Alfred: Okay, first the t-shirt, that won't even describe, then the texts? Can't he just leave you alone for at least an afternoon so you can be with your friends?Francis: Ah, sorry, guys...
Ludwig: Give up, Al, he's in love: we're losing him.
...
I my head I still profoundly ship FrUS more than FrUK, so I guess this perspective gives a good melancholic, painfully romantic tone to this scene. The hidden hint of jalousy in Al's tone, discernable for Ludwig but not for Francis, who's entirely bewitched by Arthur, is so precious I could write a fic about it. I just love making Al suffer for chapters from unrequited love in my fics. I know: I'm evil.
And yes, I definitely have something for Francis being in an other group of friends than the bad friends, by including Ivan, Ludwig and Alfred.
...
Have you ever been secretly in love with a friend who doesn't suspect anything and keeps telling you all about his/her love life? Do you know these intense moments when your heart beats like you've run a marathon just cause he/she hugs you and your thoughts go down in their pants, no matter how often you tell yourself it's bad? It hurts, right?

What do you you ship then? Being American, how do you resist shipping your nation with your favourite other characters?
I love Alfred, he's so interesting to put in a complicated relationship^^

I have many otp, and fruk comes close after frus, and strangely, even if I adore alfred, I can't imagine francis to be able to say no to arthur if he disapproved their relationship and wanted to get francis back. Alfred would have to fight hard to win over arthur cause too uch history between fruk, right? you can't erase this with a summer fling, it needs to be deeper... IDK, i always think too much -_-' XD

Gods I talked to her today. She's moving schools and I'm so sad about it. Then she goes and tells me bout a guy she met and I'm like"...I wanna be with you but you're straight and tell me all this shit bout your love life!!"

Do you say these things to her at loud? I've lived exactly (really, exactly) the same situation five years ago. She knew, I told her the truth and all, but she was so oblivious, like she couldn't take it seriously. I remember the death stare I used to answer to these details she were telling me about her soon to be boyfriend. They really became a couple when her and me stopped seeing each other everyday becuse we both moved to different places. I then dated another girl and it was nice even if wasn't really deep. Then a guy, not really deep either.Ā I am of course in no position to give anyone advices but even if it was the point, I couldn't. None of this taught me anything. XD

Okay so my full theory about their relationship is a bit special. According to me, they've been together for a summer, very very long ago, when they were very young teenagers, then they lost each other because of the distance, and met again as adults. They become friends. Francis is in love with Arthur. One day when Francis is a 'I will never fall in love with Arthur again' phase (or denial phase, in short),After several beers and a blurry night, Francis wake up is Ludwig's bed but he just flees, and Ludwig doesn't get the chance to really try. He moves on, but still wonders what didn't work, why Francis was afraid... something like that. They never talked about it clearly. And he's rather affectionate, considering Francis is too with all his friends. But when this drawing happens, he's in a 'colleagues/friends with benefits' relationship with Ivan and the fact that is lasts longer than he would have thought makes him wonder about maybe asking Ivan to go out with him for real. But he's no longer trying to get in Francis's bed. Al on the other hand is very confused by Francis's affection, for him, it has to mean something, and he's spend too much time imagining Francis was in love with him, slowly starting to like this idea, but now Francis proves he's just obsessed by Arthur and Al feels like he's been stolen somthing by Arthur. But he doesn't want to declare his feelings cause he would not accept rejection.

Oh dang lol! All of that was happening in the background, I had no idea! Sooo...wait, so Francis loved Arthur first, but then didn't, but now does. He had an affair with Ludwig, which confuses him, but that stops. Then he wants Ivan? But Al's wearing a red star, doesn't that mean he loves Ivan? But he loves Francis, which isn't good 'cause Francis still loves Arthur...but wants Ivan, who doesn't want him. Arthur is alone in all this I guess lol.
So, I suppose the question now is, who does Ivan love? And does Ludwig still love Francis?
(btw my brain has now exploded.)

BlumeShullman In reply to Numanom [2013-06-18 01:48:06 +0000 UTC]
oh no no no! It's Ludwig who has an affair with Ivan, not Francis. Francis considers the night he's spend with Ludwig as a mistake due to alcohol and yes from the very beginning, he loves Arthur but it's complicated and they often break up, then go back together... they're not happy together, but they're very passionate. Francis is convinced that no one else than Arthur could love him, he never imagined that Ludwig could have wanted more than just one night (and they never talked about it, so...)And he has absolutely no idea of what Al could feel.

But, but then why is Ludwig so close to his face? And why is Al wearing that star thingy? There must be something else going on, I just know it...more secrets, behind the scenes....
Oh, Francis, you're supposed to be the love guru! How can you not know these things, eh?
I also watched the trailer for Poupoupidou, and it was uh, a li'l freaky lol! -clings

I think the star t-shirt is because it ooks kinda badass you know? and about ludwig's hand, actually, it's on francis's hair but also on Al's hand... which means, he's silently reminding Al that, for his own good, he should be a bit more cautious with the touch. It says 'back off' actually. but not in a possessive way, just because he personnally (with his own experience it's understandable) thinks that indeed Franis will never ever love anyone else than Arthur.

Hee, the badass star! I would tend to agree, but if he wore it here, people would proly look at him like he's crazy lmao (but perhaps he is...dundundun!)
Hasn't Arthur tried to hurt Francis a lot though? I mean, he almost killed him once, didn't he?

really? Wearing a red star would not be accepted in the states? Oh here wearing clothing about communism or also anarchism both are really okay. No one will blame you if you're a communist, they will look at you like you'rea a bit weird but that's it.
Arthur almost killed Francis? When?

Well, you wouldn't get assaulted or anything...at least not in this town...(it's hard to make hyper-generalizations lol, I've never even been out west. )
Communism is just considered very strange, if not dangerous, and sadly people will typically lump socialism in there with it (I know the two are different, but they're still often confused.)
Here's an awesome song from 1973 that illustrates some of the sentiment lol (I know it's kinda old, but this was about the same time our socialist party dissolved, so...) [poke]
The part 'bout commies starts at around 3:15, I think.
Oh, I was thinking of them as countries, when Arthur invaded him, and Joan of Arc came to save Francis, but I guess they're just normal people here?

You really ought to make a comic of this, it'd be very educational for us...not knowers, hee.

not exactly, cause the tudor, who replace the plantagenet, ARE british. Thing is in the middle age west of france and south of england were close, and independant towards other kingdoms that now are in the frontiers of GB/ France. the frontiers had nothing to do with now.

BlumeShullman In reply to Numanom [2013-06-18 21:50:04 +0000 UTC]
hum, it's not how it happened... so... okay, first of all, it wasn't exactly 'france against england' cause there were different kingdoms in what are currently the frontiers of France. and in the 14/15 th century, language wasn't united yet, it only coms gradually since the 16th century. it's a conflict between two royal families one french-english (the Plantagenet (at first they were french then english, that's for the english side) and another royal family, french, the Valois... in short, the 'english' side was at first just a powerful family in the west of france who had enough balls to tell the kings of France they would be independent, and it worked. Then they started fighting against the east of france (the Valois, the official royal family in France by that time), but yeah the Plantagenet were french untill one guy of this family went to england and forced the king to make him his heir, so he became king of England: that's Henri 2 Plantagenet. it was in the 12th century but at first his kingdom was french, then he became a brit but he still wanted to keep his kingdom in France... yep, that's called ambition^^. It worked for him. two centuries later the war begins. At first, the british side was the strongest for 30 years. Then it's the french turn for 20 years: at that point the brits only control a few cities in france. too poor on both sides to fight for a moment, then the brits come back and their king who's very clever, foms an alliance with another french kingdome fighting against the power so they manage to make the power promise the crown of france for the british king's son. dun dun dun... but then Joan of Arc arrives, and with her a big wave of annoyance in the poeple against the brits who are so not loved they don't really want to stay, so the brits go away and the peace is signed, the french kingdom remains Frenh, and the same reigning family stays a long time, before being replaced by the Bourbons at the very end of the 16th century. the Plantagenet, kings of England, have the time to take wales and scotland in the 13th and fighting against the french in this 100 years war century before being replaced by the Tudor at the end the the 15th century.
