Pretty happy with how this has ended up. I think I managed to get across the night-time atmosphere I was going for, and still kept Blade himself as being distinct from the background of the piece. I used a variety of grey tones on his clothes, as well as a base colour of blue on his armoured vest, and I think that they've all managed to stay cohesive, yet obvious as their own piece. I think that the red lining of his coat really works as an accent colour within the piece, though I do wish now that I'd found a way to include it higher up in the picture. For the most part I think that the shading and shadows across the picture have worked, though some aspects merge a bit too much with the inks. That's as a result of playing around with some settings in Photoshop to reduce the visibility of the brush marks in the ink, but they are supposed to gradually fade to black, so maybe that helped them in the end. I probably should have used a different colour for the clouds when compared to the mist to separate them a bit more, but I think the background is still evocative of what I was going for, so I'm not too fussed by that. So overall, I think this one has been a success, and I'll probably revisit Blade later in the year.
