Here's the finished piece! I think it works pretty well, and certainly has the atmosphere that I wanted to portray. Much of this is pretty standard work with the Promarkers, particularly across the cape and robe pieces. I'm quite pleased with the way that the Saber blades have turned out, as I think the choice of reds and purples I used work well at demonstrating the core of the blade before fading out towards the edges. Once I had the colours for the Saber blades in place, I began adding reflections to the metallic parts of the armour. I think this does a decent job of suggesting the metallic nature of these elements, which is added to by the patches of warm grey that I included here. I also added a few reflections to the helmet, as well as some patches of light grey to try and imply that some of the paint had worn off in places. It's an effect that I think works decently enough, and is reflective of the original material. The background is pretty simple, but I think that the shades of red, orange and grey work to suggest a smoky, moody atmosphere. So overall, I think this one has been a success, and I knw that the friend I drew this for greatly appreciated it!
