I've finally finished up adding the colours here! Some aspects worked better than others, but on the whole, I think it's turned out pretty well. One of the weaker aspects is the reflection of the red light across his sides, as I feel like it doesn't fully reflect how a red light like that would actually work, but it's not too distracting, so I'm not terribly broken up by it. The remainder of the piece has worked extremely well, as the various shades and layers of colour have all built really well on top of each other. I'm really pleased with how realistic the eyes at the top of the piece look, and I think that they've ended up being as piercing as I'd hoped for. The lower section of the picture has also worked quite well, as I think that I've managed to keep the background, the tentacles, and Vecna himself have all managed to remain distinct from each other yet are clearly all part of the same piece. So yeah, It's taken a while to get this finished, but I think that it's definitely been worth it in the end.
