It's nice to end a round and think that vicky may have made a friend. this has that potential feel to me. it's also nice to have a somewhat happy ending (although, not for mort). hope you enjoyed this jaunt into the sub zero. AFL has been so much fun for me so far! cant' wait for the final round!Love it or Hate it!

Loved the contrast between Mort and Demona in this. It's funny really, Mort Mallard sounds like such a wacky name, while Demona sounds like the stuff of nightmares. But then it's revealed to people that don't know the characters that Mort is the creepy duck while Demona is an adorable half-human hybrid.
Also, thanks for putting some extra effort into a possible explanation as to why the island is covered in ice. ^^

and it's for those very reasons that i was glad to be paired up with them. i like the contrast and i also like the idea of vicky making more connections with other varied characters like these. plus it's a blast to write them up!

I was almost expecting them to be eating Mort as well, but I guess you can't know where his body has been. Nice stuff, I liked how you drew your opponents, they turned out great.

thanx! demona was quite the challenge, being mostly bird and all. but i was again blessed with an opponent whom i can maybe establish a storyline with at some point. both opponents were just fantastic with great artists behind them!

thanx. i live where there's snow most of the year. but beyond that, i have always been a fan of the old Ralph McQarrie Empire Strikes Back concept art. lots of blues to keep the snow interesting.

i am glad you liked it! demona is an adorable character and mort mallard is such a dark and evil one. i was worried i wouldn't get them right, but both creators seem to approve! yay!
i also knew once i saw that vicky was paired against demona that they would become friends in the end. they are both good characters at their core.
