A very nice shot of a Clearwing Hummingbird Moth. I always get a sweaty forehead shooting those moths. lots of work they are. they never stop or land. I submitted a shot of one in 01 [link] ..I think i like yours better. nice lighting

wonderful wonderful... man... this is one insect i miss... i'm from ohio originally... and this was one of the coolest insects in my opinion... so unique. this is an amazing shot. i don't know how you do it.

I would think so. I have seen such things in real life. I remember them so well, for I thought at the time that it was wierd that a humming bird would have 'anteni'. Did you take that pic? If so, were the wings moving as fast as a hummingbird?...

Yes they were, though *boron identified it as a White-lined Sphinx
