Description
Walkin' around on the beach one clear, cold night, experimenting with camera settings. Thanks to my friend for the use of his slick miniature tripod for this shot. Sure was blue that night. Very interesting lighting. you might say, "it's too dark" or something like that... it was dark. i wanted this dark. i like dark things sometimes.Related content

You know, it's pretty rare to see a silhouette on here without a sunset going along with it. Nice to see you do this with the full moon! I like the reflections at the bottom, subtle, yet a great detail. I assume that is the sand reflecting the light? It's eerie, yet captivating all at once....makes me think of winter for some reason.

heh, well... it was winter. kind of. it was early spring actually, on the shore of the lake. a friend and I were out that night shooting since it was so bright, with the snow and full moon and all. thank for the nice words on this one. i'm suprised you noticed it by its thumbnail.

The thumbnail was more than enough to see it! On some images, if I full view, I cannot see the whole thing at one time, and it's hard for me to look at pieces of the image. I like seeing it all together and how it all flows.

oooooooooooh. It is MAGIC. I love the little twinkles of light. . reflections? moments? possibilities? dreams? The water in the distance looks very calm and peaceful. I bet the night was very quiet.. . and soft. . even against the cold.

I love how the moon is so bright that it seems so close by. I like the blue tones and the darkness. I almost think it could have used an unsharp mask, but that's just my opinion. I really like the frame, it's a nice photograph. Nice job

I love how the moon stands out so well, itβs just so bright. The old trees and lake in the background look cool to. It adds a lot to the picture. The picture is dark but yet you can still see what you saw that night. Very awesome. The snow and stars add a lot too, adds some light to the picture. Dark yet interesting, great job
P.S.

Really great composition.... as the rest of your photos seem to have that quality as well. Too bad it isn't a -little- sharper, but it's got some nice tone to it. Reminds me of a large portion of my own work, going out in the middle of the night with my camera on a tripod... damned it was cold then....
Anyhow, i'm also really impressed with the stars bing visible despite the moon being so bright... definately makes the image.

A beautiful shot, as to be expected from you. The twinkles (snowflakes?) on the grass really do it for me. And I am always fascinated by the moon, it always affects me when it's full.
Great work as usual man. Keep it up.
Take care.
