Description
As only the most astute watchers can tell, I like ravens. When I was a kid, my parents told me that it was good luck for me to see a raven, since a raven features prominently on the family coat of arms. So while most considered ravens an unlucky presence, I grew up thinking that seeing a raven meant that the rest of the day was bound to be good. Self-fulfilling prophecies are quite powerful, and while I knew that this was really just something my parents had made up to entertain me, it was amusing enough to believe. And these days I still try to make every day I see a raven a better day, if only in the little things.
It certainly need not be a raven. What makes your day a better day?

I really love Ravens too. You know they're actually one of the smartest non-human animals. I thought I'd just throw out that little tidbit. Anyway, stunning creation. Every thing is beautiful. The color pallet is especially appealing. Light colors with a dark subject really makes it pop.

They are. I've had the good fortune to play games with some of the local ravens (e.g. find the egg I hid in the bushes), but I'm aware that their intelligence extends much farther than that.

Wow that's cool. You should try something harder for them. Try dangling a treat on a line from a branch. Some scientists tested this and the ravens actually figured out to pull the string up then put it under their claw repeating until they had the treat.

I've seen that. The ravens around my actual house are pretty transient (mostly they show up in winter to steal suet), so it's more a factor of what I have around the house when they show.

Thank you! It was important to me that it didn't project a creepy vibe.

I like seeing snakes. I don't often, so when I do, it brightens my day. Especially if I get to hold one. :3

That is an unusual and awesome answer! This past week I actually went down into a gully that, during the spring, was completely full of water and an absolute haven for snakes in my area. The gully had dried out, but I found tons of their homes and it was really interesting to see what kind of habitat they had fashioned for themselves.

Wow, great work! I love the colours! The details of the raven's feathers and the petals are amazing. I just love this pic!
And I've the same attitude towards ravens as you (my father made me see the incredible character of these birds)

Dragonflies make my day better - something good always seems to happen after I've seen a pretty dragonfly!
Love the feeling of this picture! The blossoms make the raven seem so gentle.

Quite a nice raven he is, too.
Hm... What makes my day better. Several things, but if we're speaking visually, pink magnolia does wonders for my brain. We have a few of those where I am, but they're not very common, and I associate them strongly with a wonderful next-door neighbor from when I was a child and with fantasies my sisters and I had that her tree was the palace of the fairy who is queen of Spring.

No kidding! My great-grandmother's house had a magnolia tree. The thing had a habit of blooming on or just before Easter Sunday, so my little sis and I thought it was magical too.
