so my friend asked me to make her a tutorial on how i edit my pics so i decided to post it on here as well ^-^its my first tutorial so sorry if it sucks lol
im using photoshop cs4 but you can also use cs3 or 2. sorry but paint shop will not work for this.

TIPS
.you can tweak change the order or add more layers to create your own editing style
because what may look good on some photos may not look as good on others
.save your file as png keeps the quality nice

In my opinion, the original is better. You have these nice straight vertical lines from the fence, and the horizontal lines from the shirt. There is only little what the photographer could had done better in terms of composition, like filling the image a bit more with her, and frame her perfectly with the lines from the fence, in my opinion. I would like to see how it works with open eyes.
The editing makes it look like a snapshot taken and filtered with any smartphone.
That's all a mater of taste, of course, but I guess as tutorial it's ok, it's just an example after all.

I also agree with you! The natural light is very nice in the original picture. Maybe sharpen the contrast just a bit but it's nice the way it was before the editing. Β

I actually prefer the unedited one. To me that one reaches out more. It's clearer and more focused on the character. The simplicity appeals to me more.

okay so every time i go to save a picture it shows up as like the ps icon in my picture n i don want it to do that i want it to actually save as a pic do u know what im talking about (i have ps elements 9 btw)
