Lovely. I love that color is sparse here instead of being really bright and everywhere, and what little color there is, is grayed and duller. It gives the design a different feel. beautiful.

It's color for me ... I can honestly say I can see the image on my right arm, or as part of a backpiece, etc ... I really enjoy the minimal approach to color. Both looks are classic and timeless ... very nice work.

Damn, that is wicked cool. I don't know much about tattooing, but wouldn't it be hard/bad to ink large patches of skin in all black, though? I'm sure they could replace that with some sort of tightly woven texture instead in those places, though.
Ah, now wait. I have looked at the B&W version, now, and I can see that most of those black patches were actually greyish there. So that's more like what they could do I see... I like the colored version better all and all, though. Very good job with the scales and the flame. It is badass.

Badass eh lol thanks. Its actually really easy to to do large areas of black in a tattoo, just doesnt look very good. If I was to tattoo it I would do a fade technique and add extra detail under the waves
