I don't think so. Β In the cartoon I'm thinking of he was part of a bunch of inactive Cybertronian bodies that the Decepticons got to first, and when one of them was scanning for a form it scanned an oil tanker truck, Optimus, and a human at the same time, which is why it was then later able to control some sort of giant human voice controlled robot.
