Description
Someone asked how I add backgrounds...Well, I'm not good at explainging --_--
(And I don't want you to misunderstand me)
So here's a quick tutorial with everything you need to know
If you still have question feel free to ask ^^

it did the same to me because i just dowloaded yesterday and it said the other MMD didn't work so i got an mmd mdel and opened it with the newer version and it worked

I know this sounds stupid, but when you download a 3D background, like this one [link] and you move it to the Background folder, how do you get it so it loads like that? I mean, you can choose to have an AVI File, but I have no idea how to get all the files to be AVI, or a picture file, which is one still picture? How do you get it to look like the real one?
HELP? (Sorry if stupid question, I'm new to this ^^')

The background you want is actually a stage which is different. You have to go to the camera/light/accessory in the red window then load it as an accessory. The particular one that you linked has to be loaded like a model. (I downloaded that stage and freaked out when I couldn't use the accessory manipulation window to load it, but I figured it out eventually.)
And I don't think that it's a stupid question, if you need help you shouldn't be afraid to ask. I'm new to this too. I've only had MMD for two weeks

My MMD version doesn't have "Background (B)" on the menu. Do I have an older version that needs updating?

My MMD doesn't either. However there is an option to load a background when you look under "View" in the menu

It's beacuse of the codec
Try to convert the file.

When I load an avi file into MMD it says: "Cannot open AVI file". But there's nothing wrong with the file.

It's the codec. MMD only supports certain ones.
I don't have the list. So you should convert the file
that will give it a different codec and might work

Ahh! I had no idea you could move the background image with the control button! I wish I'd found this tutorial last week...but I sure am glad I found it now!

When I convert the avi file to an MPEG4, the file type changes to mp4, and can't be loaded into mmd.
Can anyone help me.
