It is cool because it almost looks like the Shogun Warrior fist firing version of Godzilla. Love it.

Great work! Big G looks like he's ready to throw down. Nice work on the colors, scheme really works well for this piece.

Yeah; this is pretty much awesome. From Destroy All Monsters through Terror of Mechagodzilla, it was one hit after the other; the late 60's through the mid-70's was a POWERHOUSE of amazing Godzilla films. Definitely my favorite era of his entire history - and you nailed it.
Anything since 1980 is pretty much dead to me.

I don't have to tell you this - you already know I agree with your assessment!
That said, there is ONE (count em, ONE) Godzilla movie made since the 70's that is every bit as enjoyable, and awesome, as the 70's Godzilla films... and which features, probably THE best-looking Godzilla, since the 1974 version. And that film is, (the spectacularly titled):
"Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah - Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" from (2003). If you haven't seen this one - trust me - you need to!!

I'll do it on your recommendation. I believe it's available on Crackle or Amazon instant, so if I can stream it, I'll watch it.

AWWWWWWW YEEEEEAAAAAAAHH! Nice work my friend! So glad to finally see you draw the Big G like we talked about. He resembles the Godzilla vs Mothra Goji. Love it, I say mooore kaiju!

Glad you like it! I hope it lives up to your expectations!
Actually this drawing is based on my favorite version, from "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (1974). I just think Godzilla looks perfect in that movie, it's the best combination of all his best features, that I like from all the previous versions. That film is also my favorite film in the series, for a long list of reasons.

Wow! That is my absolute favorite Godzilla, too! He's just so likable and he makes a good hero. When people ask me what my favorite hero is I always say Godzilla and they're like "What?" *Sigh, I guess they don't know anything about the 70's Goji lol

Awesome job! Godzilla is a childhood favorite of mine. Great detailing and fantastic colors. I have to admit that "Godzilla vs The Smog Monster" was one of the scariest movies I saw as a kid.

While I adore your lesser known horror flick pieces....I am happy to see a kaiju piece make the rounds Absolutely loving it. Now if only something from WaxWorks will show up on DA I will be a happy little boy
(Seriously that is my favorite horror movie of all time. Second movie of that series sucks though).

Your like the first person that has admitted to seeing that. Honestly it is not that bad of a movie. As far as 80's horror goes I thought it was great. The werewolf looked odd but at least it was memorable. It's just the comedy with that 2nd film in that series that really kills me.

Yep I had that toy, too. One of the best toys of the 70's... I got him as a birthday present in July 1977.

Can you believe my dad accidentally dropped mine on its head in about 1999 and smashed Godzilla's head. Up until then he was in mint condition, having starred in many Super 8 movie films alongside my Star Wars action figures during the 80s. I still have him, and the pieces in my attic... *sniff*
