....however much my face clouds with sombre vanity, or vulgar vengeance, or contemptible contempt, the bones of my skull beneath it are laughing for ever.

Welcome home, young Hamlet!
Come, get on my Shoulders, once again, and make merry! Even purgatory has its fun moments!

I never even thought of it as York. Good call!

Hereβs a neat fact:
Hamlet is a subtle theological allegory in defense of the doctrine of purgatory against Calvinβs denial of it.

Gather round, you little Lords
And Ladies of the court!
I bring with me a bag of goods
More int'resting than any sport!
Come, you small folk, welcome here,
Please enter, join the rest!
I am the famous jester,
And I come to tell a jest!
You might be wond'ring what a skull
And bag o' bones like me
Could possibly have ever thought
To set your smiles free!
Well look into my little bag,
My wond'ring little child
And first--behold!-- A sight to see!
Small dragons, fierce and wild!
Worry not, you boys and girls,
These tiny little things
Could never cut or burn you,
For they're simply dolls on strings!
....not impressed, you say, my boy?
Well, that's only the start!
Observe, my ladies of the court,
A crystal beating heart!
*gasp*
You oooh and aaah, my pretty dears,
Perhaps you've come to see
That my little bag of trinkets
Is as wondrous as can be!
Look deep, my Lords, into my bag,
And you will surely find....
This magic suit of armour,
The only of its kind!
It sings, it shines, it jousts and drinks,
A hearty warrior's friend!
But now, the joke I promised you,
Is coming round the bend.....
See here, My King, deep in the bag,
The joke that I have brought......
*STAB* haHA! Oh my, what joy!
For Death is FUNNY, is it not?!
*collapses into a pile of inanimate bones, unearthly cackling reverberating off the walls*

No, just whenever inspiration strikes XD
Thank you for the compliment, though!
I would like to post my poem to my profile. May I add a link to your picture, as a reference to the poem's inspiration?

Funny you should say that. I was just about to ask you if I could post your poem on my Facebook and other pages. With a link back to you.
So yes I would be honored!

I'm unclear on whether this is a bad guy or not. I like him!

I can see that. If his close were all torn up and grungy, he would definitely look more sinister. But I kind of like the ambiguity.
