Description
Here's another space project that i've been working on. I personally think that this one is much better then my other nebula scene. I just think I did a much better job on the star-field.Eventually i'll probably do something with planets but my planets usually don't come out looking that good.
Everything used in this scene was made by me except for the nebula; I used Apophysis for that.

Could I get permission to use this as a background for a project wallpaper. It's for a fan film called Starship Ajax, [link] . I've posted a preview for you at [link] . Thanks

As long as it's for personal use you can feel free to use it. If you put it on the internet then just please give me credit. Other than that enjoy using it.

Thank you very much. I didn't think you would mind but I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I'll add your link to our website and let you know when we display your images.

I want to use it as a download to help promote Starship Ajax. Being a fan film it's completely not for profit, there will be no income from the promotion. I will of course give you credit. Thank You.

Woot, another Apophysis star field. Here's mine (download to see it better, though). [link]
This nebula turned out very nice. Did you use a cloud brush or something?

That's a pretty nice star field.
And do you mean for the space dust? Because what I did for the space dust was that I took a couple of different fractals that I made in Apophysis, made them into brushes in Photoshop, and then used them. They are great for making space dust or even giving things a grungy look (some examples of this are in some of the abstract backgrounds i've made.)

The forground wisps, (the colorful part). Yeah, now that I think about it that does look fractal-ish.

Nice one. Have just started to use Apophysis myself. Love the colour.

Thanks. And the cool thing is that in Apophysis when I made this nebula, it already had that color picked out. I just adjusted it a little.

i love the colors, i dont know what you mean by apophysis, im thinking maybe a program, but its nice non the less.
i think in outer space you could see more stars so maybe a few more very dim in the far background? kinda making the impression of even more infinite background?
dont mind me much tough, it looks very nice

Thanks for that idea. I'll try to incorporate it into my next space scene.
And also Apophysis is a program. I use it to make the nebulas in.

oh nice, yet another free program, lol but i dont think i have the brains to get into yet another program in such a short time.

It's a fairly simple program and is pretty easy to use. And it has a great outcome. I have an entire folder filled with all kinds of different nebulas that I could use.

Might also Think about removing starts Close and in a range from the nebulae as The brightness normally Blocks out other stars
