Description
After long consideration (years) I have decided that there will be only one language in Rimoria and that language is one I can read without going insane, English.English in Rimoria is referred to as the common tongue, the common language, common, etc.
History

The Rimorian Common alphabet comes from those originally able to speak and the first of the Rimorian people to have any form of written text, The Na'gaan. The Na'gaan are made up of the lamia/naga, echidna, gargoyle, and dragon races. In Rimoria's early days they used to live among each other as one people and called themselves "The Na'gaan Civilization". However over time they went their separate ways and founded their own separate lands and although there are still remnants of the Na'gaan Civilization scattered about the lands such as ruins of abandoned structures, the races which made up this civilization and the language they all shared can still be and is still referred to as Na'gaan.
Na'gaan is simply English and is spoken aloud as English. The alphabet itself is a collection of glyphs and symbols which stand for each letter, number, digraph and trigraph. It is just that over time these symbols, reading writing from right-to-left was replaced with simple to read letters as well as adopting punctuation marks, spacing, and the system of reading and writing not from right-to-left, but left-to-right.
Many have forgotten how to write in the old ways however so unless you learn your symbols and know the rules of the Na'gaan you will find difficulty in reading ancient texts.
Letters

There are 26 letters in the Na'gaan Alphabet:

There are 20 Digraphs in the Na'gaan Alphabet:

Note: Other instances in which case there are two letters used together for example "EE" the letters "AA" or "FF" do not get their own glyph "A" and "F" would be used twice but in the case of the 20 digraphs the letters "K" and "N" have been put together "KN" as one glyph to shorten the writing process.
Trigraphs

There are 10 Trigraphs in the Na'gaan Alphabet:

Note: Other instances in which case there are three letters used together for example "ARE" the letters "TCH" do not get their own glyph. The glyphs "T" and "CH" would be used instead.
Numbers

The Na'gaan were the first to have written numbers and before the use of "0-9" they would draw an arch and under said arch draw a dot. In the instance one would need to write "1986" there would be four arches. Under the first arch would be one dot, under the second arch there would be nine dots, under the third arch there would be eight dots and under the fourth arch there would be six dots. In the event case one would have to write the symbol for "0" it would first be an arch like any other number but then a "X would be drawn through it.
Punctuation

There is no punctuation in the Na'gaan Alphabet other then period "." exclamation point "!" and question mark "?" . In the event case some one writes a sentence which requires a period a circle would be drawn at the very end. In the event case one needs to express an exclamation, the circle is drawn at the end of the sentence just as before and then a second circle is placed above it, this resembles a semi-colon ":". Finally if someone is begging a question then in this case there would be a circle, on top of a circle, on top of a circle, making the end of this sentence or question three circles tall.
Reading and Writing

Na'gaan is always written and read from right-to-left.

Awesome! So the Na'gaan were the pioneers of language for Rimoria? Coming up with languages is no easy feat, let alone coming up with so many distinct symbols for the letters and syllables.

Yup, when I think of Rimoria's past before the human wars I think of everyone living simple lives but the ones who would be doing the best over all else would be these guys. Take our rp (which I hope you like ) and dragon's were even the first to keep pets.

Ah, neat! Makes sense if they're more advanced in reading and writing. (and of course I like out RP! Although I'm having less time to give you longer responses, I still enjoy it just asΒ much as when we started it ^^ ) So are the dragons humanoid like the one in that drawing? Cool

Im glad you like the roleplay and yes they are...the water/lake dragons anyway, they can be of different size but yeah they are humanoids with dragon features.
