This would be a fascinating idea for an alternate-universe story.
Would Sunset here be the canon Sunset, finding another world where it was Twilight who rebelled and became evil?
Or would this be a rewrite of the show, with Sunset Shimmer, social butterfly and newly-crowned Princess of Friendship, having to face the brilliant, antisocial villainess Twilight Sparkle?ย
One can only wonder...

I'd actually very much would like to see something like this, where twilight and sunset's lives are switched. Same goes for the sirens in Rainbow Rocks. Swap Aria with Rainbow, Adagio with Rarity, and Sonata with Pinkie, I'd love to see something like that.

T: Oh, so Princess Celestia didn't tell you.ย This ought to be interesting.ย Time for an impromptu history lesson, my favorite!ย Five hundred years ago, I was in Equestria.ย I was happy, healthy, and had become one of the few unicorns to achieve Ascension, which even you haven't done.ย I had continued to expand my magical horizons, performing great feats of raw magic as science experiments.ย With all of the groundbreaking magical feats I had performed, I felt that I should have control over magic.ย After all, Celestia and Luna have domains of their own, the sun and the moon, respectively.ย So why not me?ย Why should I not be able to preside over magic itself?ย But Celestia denied me.ย She said that magic is ruled by no one pony.ย I reminded her of my expansive rรฉsumรฉ, but she refused to yield.ย She refused to give me domain over magic.ย I, who had sundered the very fabric of reality and sewn it back up with only my horn.ย I tried to take it by force, but Celestia overpowered me and stripped me of much of my magic, then sent me here.ย But she couldn't strip me of my immortality.ย So I remained here for over 500 years, wondering how I would claim what is rightfully mine.ย And my search has led me here to Canterlot, oddly enough.ย But it shall be a fitting end to my centuries-long saga.ย And my reign will begin here in Canterlot, too.
S: I can't let you obtain the crown.ย It's not yours to bear.ย Any world you rule will be a world of despair, where no one is free.ย Magic is for all ponies to use.ย Earth ponies and Pegasi each have their own magic.ย They'd be nothing without it.ย That's why I can't let you have the Element.
T: I see your conviction is strong.ย Good.ย I like that.ย Sadly, it shan't see you through.ย The Fall Formal is in two days, and I already have the whole school in the palm of my hand.ย What could you hope to accomplish in such a short time?
