Description I designed and built this work counter for a laundry center/clothing care and hobby room. Oak and souhtern yellow pine. See previous pics of it in progrees. A few more details will be added, but it basically done. Lower tiers slide out for easy access. The lower half of each window will get a "cafe shutter".

This is amazing! Just imagining that I'd never have to get a stray pen that rolled and fell behind the counter makes me want one of these.

Must have been a lot of hard work dealing with such solid wood. Congratulations!

Yes, I want one myself now for a desk! Yes, very complex project with angles like that, plenty of hard work, but it keeps you in good shape, right?

I keep very much in shape having to drag my desk around every time I drop something... To make it worse those pesky mechanical pencils, quill-crow pens insist on falling point-first every single time. Brings tears to the eyes.

I had an idea of making it bowl-shaped towards the back using sandpaper, so that things always rolled forward. Much more complex and impractical carpentry though...

But maybe I'm just clumsy and/or disorganized ...

All the best!

NO no you just need a tiny ledge at each edge so things don't roll off! I have the same problem...
