My own designs for whimsical, colorful, fun storefronts, based vaguely on different European styles with modifications, done maybe 6 years ago in watercolor on Tan paper, about 12 inches wide.Note: File updated 11/19/2015

Thanks! By the way, I was working on a castle sketch last night, with geothermal heat and power, and the name "Vulkania" came to me.

This and the rest of your buildings are absolutely delightful! I'm playing around with a story and part of the idea has to do with an artificially charming - but brand new village and so many of your houses are exactly what I was thinking about!

Yes, possibly, just mixed continental heritage, but more colorful I suppose...

Cool! Though European in style, it kind of reminds me of some artist renditions I've seen of Dodge City's Front Street (back in the day, of course!)

Yes, Dutch town buildings were the influence. My version more colorful.

That stuff is even more ornate, and taller I believe, but Dutch and vicinity town architecture is a partial influence on this.
