Description
Had two ideas planned out for Pokemon gijinka comics, and this here is a mix of characters from both stories. Some of these you might have already seen, just some more conceptual stuff and reworking through the characters.
No time to add color yet, been a busy night just compiling sketches and laying down color palettes for right now.

Giovanni (Nidoking): The Leader, very serious in nature. Only cares about the power of his team-mates. His reason for participating in the championship is to become acknowledged as the most powerful and spread his control with his organization. Specialty: ground type moves

Kata (Shedinja): Wife of Koga, team ninja. Very quiet, and also intensely focused. Kama's sister. Shares a telepathic link with her sister. Specialty: moving undetected, overcoming barriers

Zaraki (Rhydon): Reckless, hardheaded brute. He prefers to use sheer brute force to do things. The team's tank fighter. He looks up to Blue as a fighter and follows his leadership soundly. Specialty: armor pierce

Delphi (Absol): A free spirit of the Absols. She has a strong ability to sense things in the future, and is always out to stop some of the bad things from happening, but she remains quite an enigma. Specialty: Future sight

Shelby (Shuckle): A young Shuckle who likes to sleep under rocks and go wandering off a lot. She got separated from her parents one day, and the next she was found by Athe, the Torkoal during one of his excavations, and now follows him around, looking up to him as an older brother until she can find her parents. Specialty: herbal medicine

Athe (Torkoal): A curious engineer that has befriended Scyther and created a "metal coat" with the hopes that it could be used in a form of special evolution. He came from the Hoenn region initially, but traveled to Cianwood with his Engineer Co. while they excavate and bring the ore to Olivine to refine for creating new steel innovations.He specializes in the creation and testing of explosives. Upon blowing up rocks one day, he is surprised to find an orphaned shuckle girl, and takes her in as her guardian. Although they are not blood-related, the Shuckle girl, Shelby continues to think of Torkoal as her older brother. Specialty: heat forge

Kamo (Sharpedo): A diver of the Sharpedo species. She specializes in underwater combat and using her fin daggers. She is fond of Sheldron, the Kabutops and accompanies him. Specialty: Edged weapon combat

Sheldron (Kabutops): A revived warrior of the Ancient Pokemon. Although his kind been long extinct, he still upholds the proud name and honor of his kind. He defeated Mantis in a battle to see who was stronger. He now seeks to find out the history of his lost Kabutops clan. Specialty: Scythe combat; blocking

Mantis (Scyther): A proud young warrior of the Cross-Wing Scyther clan in the Kanto region. He lost in a battle against Sheldron the Kabutops, and was left with a scar as a reminder of his defeat. Being unable to accept his loss, Mantis left his tribe, and set out to master the technique "Steel wing" that could be used to cause damage to Sheldron's tough body whereas none of his other attacks could do before, and hopefully regain his honor. He came across Heracross and Swellow engaged in battle and his aid allowed them to escape. With Hiroshi as their guide, Mantis now journeys to Blackthorn to seek out the Steel Wing master, Skarmory.

Tomonaga (Heracross): Proud warrior of the Heracross clan, a proud Samurai Beetle clan. Their sworn enemies are birds of the sky, thusly Hiroshi of the Swellow clan is his natural enemy. The "traitor" Bug Kingdom Champion; hails from Azalea Kingdom. After being branded a traitor by Pinsir who tried to take his place as top general in a conspiracy, and forsaken by his own kingdom, Heracross now seeks to clear his name. However, as an honorable samurai, he seeks to first repay his debt by accompanying the Scyther, Mantis on his journey before returning to Azalea to clear his name.

Morty (Gengar): Ecruteak city Gym Leader. Enjoys exploration and solving mysteries. Specialty: Shadow Ball, and quick speed maneuvers

Kama (Ninjask): Sister of Kata, support. Sassy, freely speaks her mind, and always ready for battle. Specialty: master of shadowing targets, high speed evasion
