Could you explain each number's technique on how you move to the next step? (Visual tutorials are great but they never help too much for me to clearly understand..)
Like say 1. i added the base 2. on the same layer i added another color and blended it into the first color etc. It'd be very helpful (The visual is still pretty helpful tho)

Very sorry for the confusion! This was uploaded when I had less experience and didn't include instructions on what I was doing.
I'm going to use the toast numbers.
1. I start with a rough shape of how I want the jam to be placed on the bread. A big slob with a single drop essentially.
2. I start to clean up that shape and make it look closer to actual jam texture. Some blobs for chunks, and thinner parts to show that it was scraped on with a knife.
3. I added a darker color within the blob because jam is translucent- it's to show that it's see through.
4. This was very subtle, to be honest it can be skipped.
5. Adding dark bubbles within the jam, and light bubble on the edges of the jam. It's because the jam texture has open pockets- and the shine is just cause jam is shiny.
6. Just some extra white shine and color correction. This is more of just my style coming into play.
Hope that helps!

Ah thank you so much! I can see everything much better now that you've explained it ^^
I can see somewhat of the same techniques in the cheesecake example only more of the opposite in the lighting and darker parts. Thanks again for taking the time to explain and reply for me! I'll try to add this knowledge to my next few pieces
