This didn't take all that long to color, fortunately. I feel like setting up the masks took longer than actually shading the thing.The lines/sketch:

Btw, which brush settings do you use? Those are some sweet strokes man O:

I'll have time to give a better response later, but essentially all of the texture comes from the first brush here ( stumpypencil.blogspot.com/2009… ). I've modified it a bit by bumping up the minimum size and lowering the minimum opacity. The boot's texture comes from the same brush with a size of 15 pixels. The lines are that brush at 3-5 pixels. The color was done in SAI with a flat edged pen with very little change in size due to pressure and a water brush that just blends, and doesn't modify the colors.
In general I tend to shift the settings around a ton depending on what I'm trying to achieve.
