Ok my first critique, sorry if i don't do a good job on this but i'll try my best!
Everything is beautiful!
I love the contrast and how the colors make it look like the city is barely waking up.
You got a gorgeous view and you got a really good shot of the sleepy but yet to be awake city. Also, The glow in the background is very nice touch to it.
You got an excellent view and we can see everything clearly .
Its very interesting and beautiful and I think you did a very good job!

This is quite the breath taking view. It makes me feel free. This is a wonderful piece taken at the perfect skyline. The quality of this is magnificent as well! The only concern I have is the brightness in the background. The rays don't work out so well, it stands out and looks a bit blotchy. I think you could've cropped the picture to cut off a bit of the sky, it looks a bit empty. Any who I think you put a lot of effort into this wonderful piece! I cant wait to view your next masterpiece and as always keep up the great work!

UGGGHHH I really can't critique... Never once on a photo...
But anyways...
luv the contrast created with the complementary colors-
I also think that the horizon looks very nice- and so does that black 'margin' created by that building in the foreground.
It's also a nice view, and I like the white light in the background, and how it kind of silhouettes that building in the center.
It's neat because if how that building in the center 'stands on it's own' and stands out and I think the lighting helped with that.
I feel like maybe there should've been more contrast(?)

I also get a good impact, and your title fits. It does seem like the city is waking up^^

It's just the center of Shinjuku district where there are loads of neon signs and fluorescent street lights.

Gotcha, and it would make sense. I absolutely adore cityscapes. I live in a small town in America (Ohio) I used to live in NYC and I miss these kinds of views. This kind of view is my favorite and part of why I'd love to visit Japan, particularly for the city views.

I was in a sky lobby on the 30th floor of an office building. It was closed with lights off so there were few reflections on the glass.
