I used a the Nikon 14-24mm 2.8G set at 14mm. It's a wide angle lens. Also, a full frame camera helps because the large sensor allows the image to be wider even at the same focal length. A 14mm lens on a micro4/3 camera for instance, will show about half the field of view.

So if you were to use a 7.5mm fisheye on a micro4/3 you'd the same field of view as this?

Yes that is correct. However, not a fisheye! You can use a fisheye of course but you'll get a rounded image. I use a non-fisheye wide angle, so there is not round distortion.
