I really like this. The vignetting is appropriate for this image. It lends itself to what one would see if they had a hood on or wearing glasses. I also like the balance of this. Even though the mountain is in the bottom third i like how the gradient blue sky looks with it. The colors, the differing shades of blue, also work great in this image. Over all ic ant find anything wrong with this at all and I think job well done. I just wish you had made this a print because I could totally se people buying this image.

Yes, it gets down to freezing at the peak. You have to dress for winter conditions even in the middle of summer!

I can understand that. Is it easy to get sick with such a drastic climate change? Gosh. Can't wait to make a visit.

I think the drastic temperature change is not so bad.ย But some people do get altitude sickness from the low oxygen levels. The key is to get a lot of sleep and rest before you attempt the climb. Then stay hydrated on your way up and you'll be fine!

I hear the Mt. Fuji Hotel is quite expensive so many people sleep outside.ย

There are many cabins besides that one in which you can sleep. It costs about 5000 yen, or a little less than 50 USD. It's not expensive at all considering the circumstances. Sleeping outside is an option if you have a proper sleeping bag.
